Jewish Responsibility

Although we have been in school for a brief amount of time, we have discussed several important issues that are also important to me personally. As a young man that has been to Israel several times in my life, I understand that as a Jew I have a responsibility towards my homeland. This is something I feel strongly about.

There are three key points that I will use to support my opinion.

1. Israel is the home of the Jewish people
2. As a Jewish individual I have a responsibility to help my fellow Jewish people and do what I can to support Israel
3. Congress should continue to support Israel to help maintain peace and stability to the region

As Jews, we all have a responsibility to help our homeland of Israel. The divine presence states that god watches over Israel unlike any other country because he can relate to Israel. As Jews we have an individual responsibility to help maintain peace and stability to the region. The US government as well as governments worldwide should do what they can to support the state of Israel so that there can be piece in the middle east region. Whether you believe in supporting Israel it is important to know its value to the Jewish people and its importance as a geographical region in the world

The Jewish people have always maintained strong physical and religious ties to the land of Israel. The Jewish people first established this strong state after they had just come out of the desert after being in slavery for many, many years. The reason why the Jewish people settled on the land of Israel is because god pointed us in the right direction. Israel was established through the hard work and dedication of the citizens that knew Israel was the hope and future of the Jewish people. This sense of dedication and loyalty has been passed on from generation to generation. As minorities in the world’s population it is crucial that we do what ever it takes to strengthen the place that is the origin of our people. This can be seen daily around the world with the constant fight to keep Israel an independent state.

Besides the dedication of the Jewish people towards their homeland it is vital for our government and governments across the world to continue to support the state of Israel and keep stability in the middle east. Although many members of congress have a personal connection with the state of Israel, they still realize Israel’s importance in controlling tensions and securing peace in the eastern Hemisphere. Most of the time the US does its part and even today the US agreed to give fund north of 700 Million dollars to the Israel-US defense system. This displays the importance of Israel to the United States.

As Jews it has always been our responsibility to help the homeland of Israel. Whether you believe in supporting Israel it is important to know its value to the Jewish people and its importance as a geographical region in the world. These key points should clearly emphasize how important Israel is for the Jewish people as well as for the stability for the world itself.
