Kindness and salvation

Even as controversies like Qatargate, and Shin Bet’s alleged unlawful detention of settlers, swirl about; even as fierce debate about helping hostages and defeating Hamas intensifies; even as potential constitutional showdowns between the government and the courts loom; even as all this and more boggle the senses, the future looks bright.

Sure Jews argue — it’s second nature, part of their psychological makeup. Sure there are controversies — it happens.

But despite it all, G-d is showing tremendous kindness, and is saving Israel and the Jewish nation.

October 7? Miraculously Hezbollah didn’t join Hamas that day.

Hamas? Being destroyed.

Hezbollah? Decimated.

Syrian regime? Gone.

Houthis? Bombarded.

Tarrifs? Netanyahu was now invited to discuss it with Trump. Reportedly they will also discuss other threats, like Iran, Turkey, the ICC.

Nine months ago, Trump’s life was miraculously saved from an assassination attempt. He went on to win the election. He swept seven swing states, won the popular vote, and his party won both houses of Congress. Now he is unabashedly supporting Israel and the Jewish people.

Everything happens by Divine providence. G-d is orchestrating events.

So even as debates and controversies and threats happen, we need not worry. “Yisroel betach b’Hashem” — Israel trusts in G-d. “Ezrom umoginom Hu” — He is their Saviour and their Shield. (Psalms 115)

As we witness the ongoing miracles, it engenders optimism that we will soon see the greatest miracle of all, the complete Redemption with Moshiach.

May it happen very soon.
