Israel has for years been confronting a campaign by Palestinians calling for boycotts, divestment and sanctions. Some artists, like Lorde, have pulled out after pressure from boycott campaigners, while others have still decided to perform.
A number of big name acts have cancelled planned concerts in Israel in recent months. Both Celine Dion and Justin Bieber have cancelled concerts in Israel due to their mental and physical health.
Justin Bieber was supposed to perform in Tel Aviv in September but cancelled due to his physical health.
In November, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers also cancelled their show in 2023 due to scheduling issues.
