Linkedin: Enabling Hate Against Israel

The World’s Largest Business Network on the Wrong Side of History

LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional networking platform, was founded in December 2002 and officially launched in May 2003. With over 1.1 billion members worldwide as of 2025, its influence is undeniable. A platform built for business connections, LinkedIn should be a neutral ground—fostering professional growth, sharing innovation, and building industry relationships. However, over the years, it has taken a dark turn, becoming a breeding ground for misinformation, bias, and even outright antisemitism, particularly against Israel and the Jewish people.

From Business to Bias

I joined LinkedIn around 2012, expecting a professional environment focused on career advancement and industry discussions. However, by 2014, especially during the Gaza war, I noticed a disturbing trend: LinkedIn had become increasingly politicized, filled with false narratives about Israel. This wasn’t just a LinkedIn problem—social media at large was being flooded with anti-Israel propaganda.

In response, I launched Time To Stand Up For Israel, a platform dedicated to educating people about Israel’s history, contributions, and reality. I shared factual, historically accurate, and well-documented posts—three times a day, every single day. And for years, it was well-received.

Then came May 2021. When rockets rained down on Israel from Gaza, I did what I always did: I posted the truth. But suddenly, LinkedIn began deleting my posts and restricting my account. After seven such restrictions, I was permanently banned. Even though some of my posts were reinstated upon appeal, LinkedIn claimed my violations were “too frequent” or “too severe.”

Why? Because hundreds of users mass-reported me as a “Zionist Jew.” LinkedIn provided no explanation and no way to communicate with them.

Selective Enforcement: Censorship Against Israel, Tolerance for Hate

For two years, I was banned. Miraculously, in January 2023, I was allowed back in. I rebuilt my company page, Time To Stand Up For Israel, amassing 88,000 followers. Then, LinkedIn deleted it—claiming it wasn’t a real company. Only after providing legal documents from the notary and chamber of commerce was my company page restored. But in a final act of retaliation, LinkedIn deleted my personal account without explanation.

Meanwhile, I gathered evidence of LinkedIn’s double standards. The platform allows posts glorifying Hitler, denying the Holocaust, and even calling for violence against Jews and Zionists. These posts remain untouched, their creators unbothered.

This is reminiscent of Nazi-era propaganda, where lies about Jews were systematically spread to justify their persecution. The Nazis falsely accused Jews of controlling world finance, spreading disease, and undermining society—tactics eerily similar to the rhetoric now freely shared on LinkedIn.

Manipulating the Numbers: Shadow Banning and Follower Deletions

Since October 7, 2023, Time To Stand Up For Israel gained over 1,000 followers per week—until June 2024, when LinkedIn suddenly deleted 3,000 followers in one sweep. Since then, it has become a daily occurrence: any followers gained during the day are quietly removed overnight. In just one week, another 1,000 followers vanished.

LinkedIn claims these are “fake accounts” or “inactive profiles.” Yet this only seems to happen to pro-Israel pages like mine. We have no way to prove LinkedIn’s bias, as they refuse to engage in transparent communication. But the pattern is undeniable.

With over a billion members, LinkedIn’s anti-Israel stance is not just problematic—it’s dangerous. It perpetuates falsehoods, fuels hatred, and silences those fighting for truth. Yet mainstream media refuses to report on it, and many who regain access after being banned remain opportunistically silent.

What Needs to Change?

Of course, I want my personal account back. But more importantly, I want LinkedIn to return to its original mission: a true business network where professionalism, facts, and verifiable content take precedence over political bias and misinformation.

If LinkedIn refuses to correct its course, then perhaps the time has come for someone to build a new platform—one that truly upholds integrity, fairness, and free speech in the professional world.

Until then, I will continue to stand up for Israel. Will you?

About the Author
CEO of Time to Stand Up for Israel, a nonprofit organization with a powerful mission: to support Israel and amplify its voice around the world. With over 200,000 followers across various social media platforms, our community is united by a shared love for Israel and a deep commitment to her future. My journey as an advocate for Israel began early. When I was 11 years old, my father was deployed to the Middle East through his work with UNTSO. I had the unique experience of living in both Syria and Israel, and from a young age, I witnessed firsthand the contrast in cultures and realities. That experience shaped me profoundly. Returning to the Netherlands, I quickly became aware of the growing wave of anti-Israel sentiment — and I knew I had to speak out. Ever since, I’ve been a fierce and unapologetic supporter of Israel. I’m not religious, but my belief is clear and unwavering: Israel has the right to exist, and Israel has the duty to defend herself. My passion is rooted in truth, love, and justice. I’m a true Zionist at heart. From my first breath to my last, I will stand up for Israel.
