Spiritual Guerilla Gardeners throughout the World Unite!

As an aging baby boomer, I was deeply inspired by Woodstock and the Back to the Garden Song. Hundreds of thousands stardust souls looking for the way back to the garden. These desires have not faded away amongst Americans, Israelis and her Arab neighbors. For two thousand years we Jews have been transplanting our “Wandering Jew” shoots and vines throughout the world. The time has come to strengthen our common Jewish roots (the ones we all sprang from and shall return through). These roots must be protected at all costs not only for our benefit but for the eight billion stardust souls that will being stream back through them back to the garden. Whereas many look at each other as enemies, I have a dream that one day the children of Arabs and Jews will be taking solidarity not in the skin deep hateful inclinations of our mothers and fathers, but rather in our deeply rooted common spiritual illuminations as spiritual community gardeners.

To protect a tree against aphids means to inject insecticide systemically in to the ground, so that it can be absorbed and transported through the roots through the leaves and blossoms. Any attempt to attack the leaves would be self-destructive.

The Mission of the IDF is to protect the Tree of Israel and the Jewish roots that feed into her. Just as Moses took no joy in the plague that attacked Egypt`s first born, none of us should take particular pleasure in the retaliatory attacks that have begun

Just as an integrated ecologically sound plant care program is important for the orchards, we, as a people must be just as interested in pre-emergent “Weed Out Hate”  programs for our children, as plant protection programs to protect our roots.

This spring, the Neudorff Garden Company of Emmerthal, Germany purchased over 10,000 packs of Sunlower Peace Seeds for distribution to school children throughout Germany. Kids are taught to symbolically weed out hate and replace these negative impulses through gardening.

If there ever was a time to expand the program to the Middle East, the time is now. Looking for Israeli sponsors and or sunflower seed growers to join our global initiative.  If enough children begin rooting out enough weeds and planting enough sunflower plants, then just maybe the adults can begin to learn from them.
