Many Roads Lead To The Truth

The US Congressional investigations into the condoned antisemitism on the campuses of University of Pennsylvania, MIT, and Harvard have been edifying. Not because the Presidents of those institutions were able to give insight into their behavior, but in spite of them.

One can only imagine the hours each of these women Presidents spent with their respective lawyers to determine exactly what words they could emote when asked about their policies allowing hatred and bigotry to one group only…the Jews…but not to others. They were clearly each prepared with a sentence or two which would allow them to claim they were following the US Constitution …and preventing them from saying anything at all which could find them committing perjury.  Their dereliction of duty in terms of setting any form of moral standard for their institutions has become clear. One by one they will fall from their heights. I would not want any of them as principal of a kindergarten.

Still, the committees of inquiry served a valuable purpose. They allowed members of Congress to stand up for the principles which have made America great, and an honorable nation. The grilling of the President of UPenn included proof that the University does cancel events and speakers when it finds it convenient to do so or against their “moral” philosophy. It was rightly pointed out that they pick and choose who to ban and who to allow with no consistency other than their own political philosophy. The Congressmen were well armed with facts to present to those denying wrongdoing.

It is interesting to me, that all three of the Universities being brought before the US Congress have women as their presidents. I am wondering, as a woman myself, whether the ladder to their success was so compromising, that they lost any sense of true values in the process. Are they simply a reflection of the woke-world that  University Boards of Directors have succumbed to? Would I also ask that about a man who became the President of a University? Absolutely.

As of this moment, following these hearings, Elizabeth Magill, the president of UPenn has resigned. Only two …plus dozens more- to go.

Be not deluded that the resignation of these three Presidents will make a tectonic shift in the way that Universities have been functioning. “Bought and sold-out” by massive donations from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, China… and the list goes on… The independence of our highest institutions of learning have been totally compromised. Professors are now hired or supported only if they are prepared to represent the interests of the donor nations, and perpetrate… you know the answer… their lies, or as the woke generation might express it: “their truths.”  The word “truth” has been trod upon to such an extent, that everyone doubts everything. And perhaps they should. For those too pedestrian to research issues with an open mind and look deeply –  below the surface, the truth is often elusive.

If you find yourself surprised by any of what has transpired, it is only because you are disconnected from academia. Those immersed in the ivory towers of universities have been shunned, stymied, pushed aside repeatedly… if by chance they happen to be Jews or actually appreciate and laud the existence of the only Jewish State in the world… Israel. Only vilification has been acceptable on most campuses …both by the administrations and by the students. Professors terrified of complaints by their own students to the Universities, kept them “closet Zionists.” Firsthand reports from many professors that I have met, from universities world-wide, find themselves in exactly the same compromising position.

The Congressional hearing was an opportunity to shame the Presidents who had been derelict in their duty as leaders of the highest institutions of learning. The clips of these insipid women trying to justify themselves with platitudes, have gone viral.

Other Congressional hearings such as those of the heads of the Social Networks- Facebook and Twitter were similar, in as much as those being questioned never had an informative response to questions posed. At best it was “ I will need to look into that.” Or “That is not an area that I am familiar with.” Still, the government had its opportunity to make its expectations clear not only to the institutions, but to the citizens watching the process in real time.

We are living in precarious times at the moment. It has become very hard for well meaning individuals to discern between truth and lies. If the case of anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiment, it is heavily fed by a culture which is built on fabrication.  The Arab world has always accepted that creating untruths was acceptable as long as it led to the victory of their cause… specifically the spreading of Islam. This is not a concept that those brought up in Western Nations actually can comprehend. The naivete of the Western mind, has been its Achilles heel for centuries. This applies not only to the man or woman on the street who has no understanding of international issues, but also to those in high elected positions, even in the US State Department. Now both Jews and Israel are taking punishment being meted out, spoon-fed, and festered by lie upon lie.

All governments of worth are now required to stand against the ignorant masses which adulate evil. The hoards are led by those who know that their lies are working, and creating a fertile environment for chaos. Unchecked, this portends the demise of all the human values held sacred to both Christians and Jews… whether they are practicing, or not. Our western culture is based on the Judeo-Christian ethic, and without it… Without nations standing firm against such assaults on their culture and intellect, they will fall –  and their leaders will one day look at one another in shock at what they have wrought. Then it will be far too late.
