New Trends, Directions, & Spirit of Entrepreneurship; May 7 -10: TAU Innovation Week
The next big big thing is coming to Tel Aviv.
Actually, it’s two big things wrapped in one.
One is TAU Innovation Day (actually a week) and the other is the TLV Startup Challenge.
Both are incorporated into city-wide events that will be culminated into a really cool challenge event that brings forward the best of Israel’s startup and innovation economy.
You will want to set aside May 7 – 10, TAU Innovation Week, which is being produced by StarTAU, Tel Aviv University’s Entrepreneurship Center and RAMOT Technology Transfer Office.
I’m honored to serve as the event’s Story Teller in Chief, and pleased to announce that the Rackspace Startups Program is offering each of the qualifying startups $24,000.00 in hosting services for a period of one year.
I’ll be reporting daily for this column in The Times of Israel and hope to meet and cross paths with you.
We are expecting some 3,500 participants, along with 60+ startups, 300 investors, and there is some really terrific programming scheduled.
People from all over the world are coming, including some wonderful speakers including:
- John Foreman, Chief Data Scientist of Mailchimp
- Nir Chnsky, Head of MEA Cloud Platform for Google
- Greg Rogers, Managing Director and Head of Barclays Accelerator for Techstars.
- Peter Shankman, best-selling author, angel investor, marketer,
@Dell Entrepreneur-in-Residence,@NASA advisor
What excites me the most about this week is that it sets the tone for the balance of 2015 and illustrates the vibrancy of Israel’s startup and innovation economy.
I’d love to hear from you, let me know how I can help you connect with the startups, and if you have a pitch you want to make for this column, by all means reach out to me – alan@weinkrantz.com.
I’m looking for the readers here to help me help you advance the narrative that will come from this very exciting week to come.
Please join us.
It’s really going to be something special.
