Obama’s knife

Israelis woke up with a knife in their backs. Thank you, Barack Hussein Obama.

I was busy last night, slowly letting Shabbat slip away, preparing for a most amazing book swap event in Maale Adumim this evening. I didn’t have time to check the news and so woke to the unbelievable. A deal? Seriously?

And then the anger began…and the thought – we’ve been stabbed in the back…by those who promised to watch it. Yes, that was America’s promise – we’ve got your back.

And I had two thoughts, two messages…one for my American friends and family who supported Obama, and the other, the message Bibi doesn’t have the guts to sent to Obama.

To my US friends and family who supported Obama: Please don’t tell me that you know that the US has Israel’s back. Don’t tell me that we’re safe because that moron in the White House thinks we are. The anger and sense of betrayal in Israel today is quite high. If you voted for that man…what he did is on you…the results sanctioned by your vote. Israel was abandoned yesterday. There are no ifs about this.

You think Obama is good for America…I hope you are right. It is fine for you to have voted for Obama because what is important to you is America – that’s good and fair. Just don’t tell me you voted for him because he’s good for Israel or cares for Israel.

As American Jews, you have to put your allegiance somewhere – all I ask is that you be honest and admit it lies there and not here. That Israel’s future isn’t really that important when placed beside…what…economic or social issues?

Oh, and don’t you dare say a word when we act in OUR best interests. That would by hypocritical, to say the least. Obama’s idiotic deal just made a military strike that much more certain. If you have a problem with that….honestly, I don’t care.

With sanctions, there was a chance to stop a military strike…with Obama’s green light to Iran’s nuclear program…he announced we here in Israel are on our own. So be it…we are on our own…thanks for watching our back…the stab wound will heal because luckily, we didn’t really trust Obama in the first place.

And the letter Bibi won’t have the guts to write…see my next post for that one…
