On your 18th Yarzheit Tonight Thank you Rebbe

I just finished listening to former Prime Ministers Yitzhak Rabin z”l and Ariel Sharon, current Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu, Moshe Levy, Yossi Ben Hanan, Moshe Ishon and other prominent Israelis speak about their various encounters with the “Rebbe” of Lubavitch in a tribute documentary entitled An Evening with the Lubavitcher Rebbe shown on the occasion of the Rebbe’s 18th yarzheit this Shabbat , the 3rd of Tamuz. The theme which was conveyed across the board was the dedication of the Rebbe to the security of Israel and the encouragement he gave to each to dedicate their talents for the welfare of Am Yisrael especially in the areas of “darkness” as described in his discussions with Prime Minister Netanyahu.

There is little question of the inspiration which the Rebbe z”l gave to the world regardless of whether they were Jews or non Jews. How many Israelis found hospitaity in India during their post army trips or other outposts around the globe which existed because of the Rebbe’s influence .

I personally believe that the Rebbe led by example and inspired me to seek out new projects for the benefit of the community which at the time seemed impossible in their scope and challenges.

My current dream is that all Israelis from all spectrums should have healthy and happy marriages and raise families that are committed to Eretz Yisrael and Am Yisrael.

Thank you Rebbe for encouraging me to keep dreaming and never to sit back and think whatever I have done is enough.
