Once upon a time

Israel fought for its existence in 48, 56, 67, 73 and in between. Life wasn’t perfect, but generally there was a certain clarity about “they want to kill us, so we need to kill them first.”

Then came Camp David, the Madrid Conference, the Oslo Accords, and more. Along with it came fighting and terrorism and intifadas. But the peace dreamers didn’t give up. Peace was something so wanted, that the dreamers held on to their dream. And they kept giving away land, they kept making more concessions, always believing with complete faith in their dream.

And then came October 7. It was a horrible rude awakening. The people were in shock. All their dreams shattered.

And people realized, that the Lubavitcher Rebbe, who said that giving away land is dangerous, was right.

It’s now one year later. Israel has bounced back, and in a remarkable reflection of Divine intervention, has successfully decimated and weakened many enemies.

Smotrich said that we need to settle Gaza and further settle the West Bank.

Israel’s prime minister needs to declare firmly, to the U.S. and to the world, that Israel will not give away any land. It’s just too dangerous.

And by being strong, Israel will save many lives, including Arab lives. Because it is the offers to give away land that encourages terrorists, because they feel that they have what to gain with terrorism.

It’s time to wake up. It really is time to wake up. Strength, true and consistent strength, will bring the elusive dream of peace to reality.

It’s time to tell the world, that Israel is in its G-d given land, now and forever.

And by destroying terrorism and evil, Israel will bring peace not just to the Holy Land, but to the entire world. And the world will see how G-d protects His people. And Redemption with Moshiach, a time when “the entire world will be filled with knowledge of G-d, just as the waters cover the sea,” will arrive.

A time of world peace and prosperity. A time when the world will be at peace with itself and with its Creator.

May it happen very soon.
