Our Country Has Gone Mad

On this 2nd straight day of rocket attacks on our civilians one could be forgiven for stating that our world has truly gone mad. We are receiving rockets from Gaza and  ejecting Koreans from Israel at the same time. We should not have to worry – Netanyahu and a former Captain in the IDF, who sold his soul to Netanyahu in order to become Defense Minister, are in charge. Oh, and lest we forget, we have the UTJ Leader and child-abuser Defender Yakov Litzman, running our Health Ministry.

Ever stop to wonder how is it that on the same day our very capable Air Force can attack the Islamic Jihad in Damascus and successfully kill terrorists this same Air Force’s attacks on this same Islamic Jihad Terrorist Organization in Gaza never kills anyone? And this is not a recent phenomenon – it has been going on for at least 2 years.

All the television channels, including those who favour Netanyahu, have been airing interviews with traumatized civilians in the south. There have been shots of people running to the shelters; children crying; people feeling helpless. Any yet many of these same fellow citizens remain Bibi supporters – no matter what. “Just end the rockets from Gaza Bibi, we will stay in the shelters for 2 months if necessary. We support you Bibi!” How many years do you need to run from missiles, exploding balloons & burning fields before you are ready to give someone else, or three someone else, who were successful Chiefs of Staffs, an opportunity to get our country out of this nightmare?

So now we are throwing tourists from Korea out of Israel. An hysterical reaction to a serious problem or racism at the worst. Italy also has a problem with the coronavirus but our Ministry of Health has not stopped flights from Europe or deported people back to Italy. Why not? Are infected Europeans less likely to spread the coronavirus than people from Asia? And how about our officials going to people’s houses and forcing them to going into seclusion? Has big brother taken over or what?

Netanyahu recently announced that his choice to replace Moshe Kahlon will be Nir Barkat. The later was asked, since he might become our next Finance Ministry, what was the cost of a loaf of bread? He could not answer. Hey, he comes from the tech world.  We are really going to be in good hands.

The Prime Minister, who is really supposed to be only a “caretaker Prime Minister”, must have been foaming at the mouth watching his mentor, Donald J. Trump, breaking bread in India with Mr. Modi. He has used & abused his caretaker role to jet all over the world at our expense with dismal results – no deal with Putin to get the Iranians out of Syria; no deal with Trump to start annexing land in Judea and Samaria; no establishment of diplomatic relations with Sudan; no rescue of thousands of Ethiopian Jews waiting to make Aliyah……..

The only surprise is that Netanyahu hasn’t blamed his lack of success on the fact that his $200 million plane is not ready yet. Perhaps those advisors in his “cockpit”, Sarah & Yair Netanyahu, have not yet suggested this approach. They still have till March 2nd to bring this up to their adoring public – it could be worth a few more votes. And you thought politics in America was messed up!
