Parents of kids in Israel

Ever since the recent wave of Arab terror started about two months ago, there has been an upsurge in the number of concerns expressed by parents of students studying in Israel.

This new blog will look to address some of those concerns, welcome questions, offer a referral service for consultants and therapists here in Israel and be a place to share helpful hints of readers as well. Some of the material will be applicable for Israeli residents too.

You made a decision to send your kids abroad to Israel to study. Some of you have high school kids here and some of you have 18+ year olds. Some have sons, some daughters and some both. You have not become ‘over-protective’ parents if you are concerned for their security. You are simply concerned for their well-being in a difficult situation.

What decisions you will now make based on that concern is the dilemma now and that will be answered differently by different families.

And, especially in these days, one can definitely say that the concern is real. It is not imagined.

Please let me know what topics or concerns or questions you would like me to address – you can leave a message here or on my website.

There is a webinar scheduled for December 16, 2015 at 12 noon est (7 pm Israel time) dealing with this particular wave of terror and how to function during it. The link will be publicized closer to the event.
