Perilous times
The daily lives of the inhabitants off The Holy Land are plagued by stunningly evil acts of terrorism. Is God too small to conquer this pervasive evil?
Our minds cannot comprehend the mind and ways of an omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent God. The Creator did not endow us with such capacities. What He did give us is the opportunity to study His Word and the ability to experience the depths of His love and His plan of redemption for mankind.
Is He too small to rescue a world seemingly spiraling out of control? Murder, persecution, hatred, moral decay, rampant evil, unbelief, evil dictators, and deceitful world leaders are on the rise. God is aware. He is still on the throne. He is not too small! He will prevail. Israel and this world belong to Him. From Genesis to Revelation God’s plan of redemption unfolds.
We cannot afford to become disheartened. We must cry out to Him. Learn His Word, and learn to rely on His Word. Should we not stand on His promise that, if we pray and study, study and pray we will know Truth? The fulfillment of prophecy is the acid test of Truth. Unlike others who have claimed deity, God through his Word told us that evil would reign on this earth.
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the one true God! Through the prophets and His Word, He told us how the future would unfold. According to many sources, there are approximately 2,000 prophecies in the TaNaKH and the Christian text combined. Approximately two thirds of those prophecies have been fulfilled. In the Gospel of John, Yeshua said, “In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world”. As believers, we can live with an eternal perspective. This world will pass away but believers will live on with our Savior for eternity.
Conversely, you many wonder if God is too big to be concerned with the small details of our lives. Is He too busy fighting evil and performing miracles to be concerned with you and me. Certainly not! He desires to be the All and All for those who put their faith in Him. Belief in God means seeking and obeying His daily direction. In His Word, He admonishes, “You have not because you ask not”. Ask anything in My name, according to my will, and it will be given to you.” Many examples of such faith are depicted in the scriptures: Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, David, Samuel and many more. By faith they “subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions…”
During these perilous times, we cannot forget who holds the future. Trust Him when he says in Daniel, Zechariah, Joel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, and Revelation that in the last days the nations of the world will turn against Israel and Her destruction will appear imminent. This is when The Messiah appears! With one Word, Israel will be saved! Woe to the nations who have come against Her!
I believe! Do you?
