Please don’t forget our other kidnapped boys

This Wednesday will be the 20th of Sivan.  On that date in 5742, there was a horrible battle in Sultan Yaaqub in Lebanon.  Many Israeli tanks were hit, and some soldiers went missing.  Three boys who are still missing, with no clues as to their whereabouts or even if they are alive, are Zecharia Baumel, Yehuda Katz and Tzvi Feldman.   They and their families need our prayers as well.

Ron Arad was the navigator of a fighter plane that was shot down over Lebanon between Yom Kippur and Sukkot 28 years ago.  His baby daughter is over 30 already.  He was alive when taken prisoner by the Amal terror group.   Hizbolla claims he is dead, but his wife is still an aguna, still praying for his safe return, and we are with her and their daughter.

Guy Hever is less well-known; a young soldier who left his base in the Golan almost 17 years ago, who has not been seen or heard from since. Three years after his disappearance, the army concluded that he is Missing In Action, possibly kidnapped and taken to Syria.

Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev were kidnapped on our daughter’s tenth birthday.  ِAs her friends arrived for her party, we did not yet know that war would break out the next day, but we knew that her birthday party was going to have a different tone.  The activity became writing letters to the families of our MIAs.  Within a few weeks, we received letters thanking us for remembering them.

As we continue to daven for our boys, please consider writing letters to the families who do not know where their sons are.  For obvious reasons, I cannot share their addresses here; but anyone who can drop a note, be assured that your letters are appreciated.

Finally, let us not forget our man in the US, handed a life sentence for crimes that were later proven to have been committed by Aldrich Ames.  He is hardly a boy, but he is apparently a prisoner of the same hatred for Jews and Israel as the others.
