If I wore a hat I would take it off in tribute to Yossi Verter’s magnificent, outstanding, remarkable article in Friday’s edition of HaAretz newspaper. His analysis that “Bibi has realized he has nothing to lose” is the finest honest piece of journalism I have read during the entire bitter days of the scandal of a convicted criminal prime minister .
Since I do not wear a hat, the best I can do is to remove my kippa in honor of Yossi Verter.
His lengthy commentary is an absolute MUST that every voting Israeli should read and re-read over again until the words leap out and jump at us.
So doing, they would awaken us to the bitter truth. Netanyahu is a scoundrel and a total liar. He refuses to admit that he is guilty and fall upon the mercy of our electorate. But no ! He is too much of a coward egged on by a witch of Endor and son with whom he cohabits.
In his most recent attempt to seek immunity from prosecution, although he will deny that is his intention, he lies through his teeth. Only morons without understanding can buy his lies.
A new election scheduled for 2 March will cost our taxpayers millions of shekels unnecessarily. But Bibi the bandit does not care. Why should he? He lives far away from the Israeli public in a castle of his own in the Kingdom of Netanyahu which is very tragically far away from our State of Israel to which he has pledged allegiance and has cheated from his pledge. (Blame much of it on Sara. She is too comfortable on Balfour street).
The tensions should be enough to cause him a heart-attack saving us from another election. His hospitalization would omit him contact with the media and hopefully he would lapse into an unreversible coma .
The advantages of such a dream are clearly obvious. No new elections. No trial. No prison. No humiliation. A person in a coma is free from all these pains.
Some may think that Netanyahu is already in some comatose delusion but he cannot realize it nor admit it. Sara won’t let him. Yair is learning that lying is contagious.
His recent attempt at jocular humor is a clear sign of his fear. He is frightened almost to death of his eventual trial by which he would spend some years of his life in prison.
So what? Katzav did it. Olmert did it. Deri did it. And they all survived. None of them was raped by a fellow inmate.
Yossi Verter’s analysis is simply fantastic. Every word is truth. If a Nobel Prize for truth existed, it would go to Yossi Verter. He is the idol of many journalists (me included) and hundreds of thousands of readers.
Whatever you are planning to do on Shabbat, add reading his commentary to your list of things to do. You will not regret it. You can find his analysis on the internet under his name. And you will thank me (or better, him) for reading the truth.
We are facing the death of democracy. We are sitting on our hands doing too little to reverse ourselves from the gates of Sheol to the celestial heavens.
And take it from me, we will be sorely punished for our laxity.
Is Netanyahu guilty? YES. Should he be granted immunity from prosecution? NO. Should he face his punishment for his crimes against us, the public he is sworn to serve faithfully? YES. Is a prison term required to right the wrong? YES.
Is there anything we can do about it? YES. Is there anything YOU are willing to do about it?
(I can’t hear your answer. Speak louder, please).
