Pride against supremacy

Actively stand with the oppressed, especially when bigotry is up

Just like Jews played no significant role in State affairs in Nazi Germany, homosexuals and transgenders have no influence whatsoever in Israeli politics. Which never stops bigots from using them as election fodder.

Always remember, the louder people claim to be better than others, the least they know about them, and the more insecure they really are.

It doesn’t mean that LGBTQ lib is regressing. Quite the opposite. It shows how scared, hopeless, and clueless these homophobes are.

The idea is not to push to see if non-bigots can win. The idea is to push (and pull) until we won. There is no proof ever that now, all is lost.

The bigots are so upset because they know they are losing all the way.

They may speak with a volume, choice of words, and confidence of authorities, but they are nitwits plus too scared to ask the people in the know. Yet, don’t let them confuse you to believe that they are the victims. They are the victimizers, and they must be stopped from hurting others.

And that’s where we come in, the decent majority. We don’t need to have better arguments than them. It’s not a debating contest! The most important thing is to stand with the oppressed, sound objections, and encourage silent onlookers on the fence about the subject and resisting.

We must build an arsenal of slogans to stop the abuse in real-time:

“You don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“How dare you speak like that about vulnerable people.”

“You don’t seem to be a Nazi, but you certainly sound like one.”

“I feel so much shame to be of the same species as you.”

“You are just trying to hide your irrational fears.”

“You don’t deserve to be heard if all you can spread is hatred.”

“Thankfully, the population is way elevated above your fake ideas.”

“Until you repent, cursed is the day you were born.”

“The only one you are degrading is yourself.”

“When you point a finger, three point at yourself and one at Heaven.”

“There is freedom of thought. But that some groups of people and their ideas are worth less than you and your ideas and that they should live as you tell them is not an opinion; it is nonsense. Drivel that hurts us all.”

“I’d rather be a rabble-rouser than a hatemonger.”

“It’s OK to be impolite (in an emergency) to stop indecency.”

Use your creativity. Sometimes something memorable will come out, sometimes not. But the essence is not to stay silent.

Don’t forget to promise the GLBTQAIs in your life that it will get better.

However, if you think those are his absolute top priorities, you might end up disappointed. His first loyalty is to the truth. He will try to stay within the limits of democratic and Jewish law, but he won't lie to support opinions or people when don't deserve that. This short list doesn't mean to disrespect others who taught him a lot or a little. One of his rabbis calls him Mr. Innovation [Ish haChidushim]. Yet, his originalities seem to root deeply in traditional Judaism, though they may grow in unexpected directions. In fact, he claims he's modernizing nothing. Rather, mainly basing himself on the basic Hebrew Torah text, he tries to rediscover classical Jewish thought almost lost in thousands of years of stifling Gentile domination and Jewish assimilation. (He pleads for a close reading of the Torah instead of going by rough assumptions of what it would probably mean and before fleeing to Commentaries.) This, in all aspects of life, but prominently in the areas of Free Will, Activism, Homosexuality for men, and Redemption. * He hopes that his words will inspire and inform, and disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed.
