Reversal of Fortune

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.    Albert Einstein. (attributed)

Or doing what is predictable over and over again and expecting different results is also a form of insanity.

If Israelis and Palestinians are ever to escape from the confines of their endless conflict, then some method other than that of the conventional must be employed. Failure to do so only ensures that more fatalities will occur and an even deeper level of hostility is reached.

It’s almost as if every one of those more directly involved has the same death wish, an instinctive desire to strike back at the enemy yet knowing all the while that such actions can only reinforce and intensify divisions that have existed for generations.

To rectify such a situation requires a complete reversal of past and present attitudes towards this dilemma and a universal commitment to accept no other means of remedy.

Think of it as a test of human ingenuity, a refining process where failure is not an option and this type of radical intervention is now the last resort in a dispute that has never shown any real signs of resolution in all the time it has been with us.
