Running things
Who’s in charge?
Who is running things?
When countries are at each other, is the world a jungle? A free for all? The strongest and smartest wins?
Who’s in charge?
I remember when Chaim Potok attended a farbrengen, a Chassidic gathering with the Lubavitcher Rebbe. The Rebbe spoke about the importance of using one’s skills beneficially. He said that a writer needs to show, not just from the book, but even from the book’s cover, that the world is not a jungle. The reader should see, from the cover, that there is a Master of this world.
I remember that Potok’s next book was titled “In the beginning,” so that anyone who glanced at the cover of the book, would think of the first words of the Torah, that “In the beginning, G-d created heaven and earth.”
Who is running things? Fortunately, G-d is.
Everything that happens, happens by Divine Providence.
“The heart of a king is in G-d’s hands.” (Proverbs 21; 1)
The One above controls and directs everything that happens.
G-d Almighty is in charge. He is running things.
Sometimes we see it more clearly, sometimes not.
These days, if we look closely, we can see, and perhaps catch a glimpse of understanding, that events are happening not in a vacuum, not in a wild jungle, but in a Divinely orchestrated beneficial way.
Iran’s power is being threatened. Hamas has been partly destroyed, as Israel continues its efforts to wipe Hamas off the face of the earth.
Hezbollah may be next.
The U.S. and Britain are bombing Houthi strongholds.
Slowly but surely, Iran’s proxies seem to be on the way to being removed.
A weaker Iran is a more vulnerable Iran. Perhaps the Iranian regime may soon be toppled.
The world is not a jungle. Sometimes we are able to see, that there is a Heavenly King running things.
