Sent but never received

This message is dedicated to all my loyal readers wherever they may be and, in particular, to reader H.E. in Guatemala.

I have received from him two e-mails, both which have upset me. He wrote a very welcome response to my last article, “Far from the Eye, Near to the Heart”, in which he chastised me for never replying with thanks to comments he has sent but which I have never received.

He mentioned that his comments have always been sent to the blogs e-mail at TOI, but that is not the address to contact me and therefore I have NEVER NEVER received the comments which he takes time and care to send.

I feel terrible that he believes me to be an uncaring person. In my response to him at his personal e-mail address I assured him that every individual who sends a comment on one of my articles, be it positive or negative, is entitled to the courtesy of a reply from me.  And can be certain to get it.

I have sent him my most sincere apologies for this unhappy problem and have communicated it to my chief editor.

It leads me to think that there may be other readers who, over the years, have replied to me but whose messages have never been received.

If it applies to any of my readers, please accept my immediate and most sincere apologies. Be assured that I always reply to a message or comment that I have received..

Mr. H.E. is a long-time reader of the TIMES OF ISRAEL and has indicated to me in the second of his most recent e-mails that he has agreed with much that I write. I thank him for his kind words.

But it pains me to think that he believes that I do not care. So very far from truth, that it pains me even more.

Messages have been sent from him to me but have NEVER been received by me.

Therefore, I am replying in this manner to all other devoted readers who may have experienced the same problem of which H.E. writes.

I am exceedingly grateful to kind and gracious readers who have shared their thoughts and opinions with me.

At the end of each article, there is space for readers to add a comment.  I look forward to many replies with my heartfelt apologies to anyone who may have been offended.

Thank you for reading TIMES OF ISRAEL, one of our greatest news sources. And thank you for reading some of my 801 published articles. Thank you for caring and thank you for sharing.

Long live freedom and peace in beloved Israel and in all the peace-loving nations of the world.

And may Almighty God bless all my readers with good health, long years of life, happiness and success in all the work of their hands.
