Sharp medicine

‘BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) — “A rocket fired from the Gaza Strip landed in southern Israel on Friday,” Israel’s army said.

“One rocket hit the southern Shaar HaNegev regional council, making it a total of 60 since Wednesday,” an Israeli army spokeswoman said.

“There are no reports of damage or injuries,” she added.’

It’s all rather like a nagging headache, a constant reminder that there is still some failure in the system, in the way things are supposed to work out but never do.

It would appear that, even after 66 years and more, every medication so far administered has made little lasting impression on symptoms, let alone root causes.

Is it then time to change the medication once again or must we all remain reliant on the present formulation, hoping and praying that its results will prove far more positive than those produced up until now?

There again, it’s hard to see what’s left in the medicine cupboard that can effectively contain or cure a condition so bitterly resistant to change, improvement or resolution.

” A sharp medicine, but a sure cure for all diseases. ”                                 Sir Walter Rayleigh,   October 29, 1618.
