Social labels are destroying social reconciliation!

Nowadays the most common social/political weapon is the social labels which are being thrown against political/social adversaries. Among those labels are racism, Nazism, white privilege, and many others.

The labels’ creators believe that the labels may politically kill a political adversary and bring a political victory. It may well be so, but such a victory deepens social divisiveness and makes impossible social reconciliation.

It is so because most of those people who are labeled as racists, Nazis, white-privileged, etc. are not despising the people of other races – most of the people who are labeled as racist, Nazi, white-privileged, etc. are not despising the other people – they are defending their own morality from the assault of other moralities.

What kind of morality traits the people who are labeled as racists, Nazis, white-privileged, etc. are defending?

Most probably, they are defending the following.

• All together, they are defending the Judeo-Christian Bible-guided spiritual foundation of USA being threatened by other spiritual streams such as for example the Quran-guided Islamic one; they are defending the USA’s unique democracy of a nonintrusive minimal government which is threatened by those who rely on a democratically-elected almighty all-caring government such as for example many immigrants from the poor or dictatorial countries

• The Christians, they are defending their unique Bible-guided life in all spheres of their life encounters such as for example in housing, in work-place, in education, in payers everywhere

• The Jews, they are defending their unique Torah-guided life in all spheres of their life encounters as well

• The other true Americans such as Chinese, Indians or Koreans for example, they are defending their unique traditions in the framework of the national Judeo-Christian foundation.

What to do with those US citizens who appear to be spiritual adversaries of all in the above? – To treat them as equals if they practice their unique traditions in private, and in public follow the Judeo-Christian tradition of the nation.

What to do with those who are trying to become US citizens under the refugee-status entitlement but appear to be spiritual adversaries as well? – To help them resettle in the places where their spiritual brothers live.

But mostly importantly, do not label – try to advance your spiritual vision for your country by working with the others – not by excommunicating them.

Vladimir Minkov graduated from the Naval Engineering Academy in the former Soviet Union, served in the Soviet Navy and there received his Ph.D. At the end of 1970s he immigrated to America where democracy and the Judeo-Christian spirituality of this country made it possible for him to actively defend both his scientific and spiritual ideas. In the USA he has found the place for his scientific public work in the spiritual realm of One God and Torah.
