Sounds like healing

There’s really not much to write about these days since all over the world we find ourselves virtually in the same boat. What is very pleasant and even satisfying are the links on internet bringing us into contact on Zoom and through Facebook.

Today so far has been especially enjoyable and for me a break from personal anxiety.

This morning I went into a zoom meeting with friends of my daughter-in-law Jacquie Harris  somewhere in deepest Cornwall.  They were having their weekly mantra session on line, as it were.

Having practised Yoga  for years, I was drawn into the scene which was not physically active but simply based on Mantra. It was good to see Jacquie and the others who  joined the group. I am not sure even whether all were participants  practiced on a regular basis but that was not of my concern.I was greeted warmly and I think I was somewhat of a novelty and that’s what made it all the more enjoyable. Being introduced from Tel Aviv gave me and they too it seems, quite a thrill.

Healing and spiritual connection is what is needed in this world who’s primary focus seems to be on power and greed. Human beings are simply pawns in the game.

Corona has broken down barriers, but if Israel is an example  this will not change devious and cruel policies. While others are chanting mantras and keeping distance respectfully others are still arguing the toss with rising voices.  For example the Friday morning talk show on  Radio Kan 11 between two  well known commentators a man and woman, where the issue of religious domination in Israel and being Jewish or Israeli had two entirely opposite connotations.

We have a new government  whose the main focus seems to be not the positive action which will enable us to get back on our feet, but when  the annexation of the West Bank will become official. So we can keep pleasing President Trump.

This may well lead us to a bad place.

Also what will annexation will really mean.

Maybe because  we ordinary citizens are so involved with our personal issues they will come like thieves in the night and inextricably  change the whole picture without so much as a whimper from the  general public.

I will get on a mat and try some spiritual healing  not so easy when ones hands are tied behind  ones back.

My dance teacher  Liran has just sent me peonies and  Tal the beautiful young woman who brought them to me told me that her father is one of those who grow flowers for export and cannot sell them. She also brought me a warm chola bread for Shabbat which she had made.

Israel is a wonderful place in which to live

Shabbat Shalom, to all who dwell on this land and to all the world.
