Welcome to my Tech Leaders Interview Series, where I interview impactful leaders and ask them to share tips and techniques that have benefited them, both in their personal and professional lives.

This interview is with Yaron Lipshitz, the CEO of Allseated

About Yaron:

Yaron Lipshitz has led the rapid growth in Allseated for the past six years. Prior to that, he was an Investment Banker at Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, and Ridgecrest Capital Partners, where he led scores of strategic transactions in the high-tech industry. Yaron served in the 8200 unit and holds a BA in Economics and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon. In his spare time, Yaron enjoys skiing, sailing, and spending time with his wife and four kids.

What are your main productivity tips?

Define a few key things you need to accomplish in order to take the company to the next level, set KPIs, and a timeline. Bring more people to this, so you are accountable not only to yourself but also to your team.

What is your favorite drink?

Vodka Martini – I love the simplicity and the power of it.

How do you deal with stress and anxiety?

Talking things over with friends and colleagues is my favorite. It not only lets things off your chest, but it also can provide a sounding board to ideas of how to solve issues. Exercise regularly is another thing. There is nothing like going for a run to get some of the stress out.

Your tips for aspiring entrepreneurs?

Ask yourself (and be very honest) – can I deal with and will I enjoy non-stop stress for many years to come.

Who in the Tech industry would you like to meet for lunch?

Bill gates – a fascinating person with so much knowledge and insight on so many things.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

I really love the place I live in now (Marin County), but if I didn’t have kids to send to school, I would probably wander around the world airB2B style.

What is your favorite book recommendation?

No rules rules – it’s about the Netflix corporate culture.

Why are you in Tech?

I was born into it – my father has been in the business since 1973 – he bought the first mainframe computer from the IDF and back then gave “data processing” service to banks and insurance companies. That business has since transformed, but I still remember as a kid being in awe with everything about computers.
