Thankless task?? I think not

Being an member of the IDF seems like a thankless task. The international media calls you “terrorists”. Anti Zionists call you “baby killers”. Of course, neither is true.

What the international media and Anti Zionists don’t get is this: The IDF is made up of brave men and women who daily show compassion for the Palestinians. They protect Israel. That is their job, and they do it very well. They put their lives on the line every day. They are subject to attacks, abuse, rocks being thrown etc. And they still show compassion. They still show restraint.

Yesterday, Israel buried more of the brave men who died trying to destroy tunnels. Tunnels that were built for ONE purpose: terrorize Israelis. As I look at the pictures of the funeral, I am struck by how many people came out to pay respects to people they did not know. Tens of Thousands of people there to celebrate the lives of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

No, IDF..it is not a thankless task. I am very thankful for you. I shed tears when one of you die. I pray for your safety and your families. the amount of bravery you have is inspiring.
