The Age of Wisdom—A Poem
We live in the fingertip age where all wisdom is within reach
Yet our brains detest battling thoughts
For in this AI age, we fear the invader as if it were an alien created on another planet
Yet our brains, those electronic blobs of grey matter housed in our protective skulls, demand to be placed in relaxation mode. “I want to play Candy Crush or Wordle now!”
And we and our children comply and obey and smile
For we fear information overload, not wanting to face the faces of war or politicians
For who turns on the TV in this age of crazy
In this wasteland so vast
that we hide within digital shadows and beneath optical illusions
For in this age of nightmares, we have no clue when or how it will end
