It’s not a conspiracy but it still is a joined effort to topple Netanyahu by almost all of Israel’s powerless left-wing top politicians, nasty police bullies, the extreme press (not all of the press), the hope-to-reach-the-history-books prosecution and the leftist judiciary – as Netanyahu’s brother said (he forgot two of the five, but I forgive him).
But there is also unconscious bias in the non-extreme media. So I read that “the public would give him a great election victory because it doesn’t care about the police questionings.” How about the public not believing that he’s guilty of anything? And here is why.
We’ve been listening for decades to politicians and activists from inside and outside of Israel how Bibi is a piece of sh*t, and thought: well, then we’re with the sh*t because he did nothing wrong. To the contrary: he does Israel proud.
Ever since Oslo died, the left has been harping about Bibi being guilty of our lack of peace. It’s like blaming the St. Bernhard for the avalanche.
If you can’t cooperate with the strongest politician of Israel, and you must unseat him, you deserve to be unseated yourself. But if you manage to work together with him, you’ll see some of your goals met too. It doesn’t get much more complicated.
Thank Heaven, the public still decides.
PS: Talking about anti-democratic forces: Rumor has it that Putin also meddled in the Russian elections.
