I seek the truth wherever it lies.

‘The Cli-Fi Movement’ has been gaining steam and is facing the future with courage

I initiated a new Twitter hashtag today, after being encouraged by the Bill McKibben podcast at Wired magazine the other day. Coined by Wired podcast host David Barr Kirtley. He asked McKibben on air if he had heard of the cli-fi movement, and Bill answered in the affirmative: “Yes!”

So this hashtag #CliFiMovement was born a few days later.

More than a genre or meme or buzzword, it’s been dubbed a movement by Wired and other media and  I’m going with that as a new hashtag. A movement of publishers, agents, acquiring editors, lit critics and of course novelists.

Bill McKibben has recognized the power of the “cli-fi movement” in a recent Wired magazine podcast and bravo, Bill!

Welcome to the Cli-Fi Movement. Use the hashtag if you wish.
