At the moment, Israel seems to be operating on the principle that, since it’s just about impossible to please everybody, then why bother to try doing so in the first place.

Well, pleasing everybody can be a tricky act to pull off here and, after 66 years in which there’s never been any real chance of it happening, the prospects today look even more remote than ever.before.

If such is indeed the case and displays every indication of remaining so, then taking much more radical measures may be the only resort left if any hope of salvaging so extremely complex a situation is to prevail.
