There may be something to be said for Israel to ‘go all the way ‘ in present circumstances. Even so, a lot of equally valid opinion must be pressing for a more circumspect approach. But, whichever the case, the choice is unlikely to improve the overall situation to any significant extent.

To quote from Rudyard Kipling: ‘East is East and West is West and never the twain shall meet.’

Well, they certainly won’t meet here, not unless there is common ground to be discovered in which all sides can invest serious political and intellectual capital. Then their escape from what has become a prison for all the last 66 years might finally begin, a process where ‘going all the way’ really means what it says. – ‘ for those of us with better things to do.’
