In defence of fully autonomous machines.

It all depends on just how far mankind might be prepared to go in their development. The answer here may not have to mean proceeding ever so slowly, cautiously testing the waters at every stage. It could be found in leapfrogging this present generation of machines and moving on to the next. – ‘ for those of us with better things to do.’

If we went this far, then only their virtual reality would be present and, if mistakes were made, then they could easily be corrected without too much soul-searching and everlasting regret. Problem solved, both strategically and tactically. Even the morality of such a deployment cannot be brought into question.

Especially when there is always so much else that can.
