That the great majority of Palestinians hold anti-Jewish beliefs may come as no great surprise but finding out that the rest of the world seems not especially enamoured of all things Jewish must give some cause for concern.
Perhaps it’s still a question of image, that indefinable something which sets Jews apart from the rest of humanity. Or could it be a certain exclusiveness in general, a feeling that, somehow, everyone else is just along for the ride, there only to provide scenery and background music for the main attraction?
Maybe Jews need to interact more with the outside world, to reach out by demonstrating that their inclusion in it is vital to its long-term interests, even to that of its survival, a subject in which Jews, of all people, have had considerable experience. Rather too much, perhaps, if truth be told.
