The Good Arab and the Bad Jew

A deranged young Israeli Arab, Nashat Milhem, went on a shooting spree killing two customers at a café and wounding others at the busy intersection of Tel-Aviv’s Dizengoff Street and Gordon Street. Fleeing from the site of the murders he hailed a taxi and killed the driver. As of this writing, the fugitive is still in hiding while a police manhunt continues to search for him.

It was his father, Mohammed Milhem of the village of Arara who recognized his son on a video camera shown on television. He immediately drove to the local police station and informed them that the killer was his son. He offered all possible help to the authorities.

Interviewed on national television, the killer’s father tearfully expressed condolences to the families of the dead and wounded. He, together with all the members of his village, denounced his son and condemned the murder of innocent people.

“I was born in Israel. I love Israel. I am loyal to the state and I obey its laws. I never educated my son to be a killer or to harm innocent people. He is mentally sick. I hope the police will catch him before he kills others”, his father said. “I grieve and mourn for all the innocent people my son killed”.

Mr. Milhem is a decent man, an Arab citizen loyal to the State of Israel. We can understand the shame which his son has brought to the family and to the members of the Arara community, and the personal heartache of a father.

Compare this good Arab with Amiram Ben-Uliel, the bad Jewish terrorist responsible for the deaths of a family in the village of Duma, killing innocent sleeping people and burning their home. Only because they were Arabs. In spite of all the evidence against him, his Orthodox parents protest his maltreatment by the Security Services and support the innocence of their evil-minded son.

He together with his terrorist comrades of the “hilltop youth” gang sought to kill Arabs, deface Christian church property and eliminate the non-Jewish population of Israel in order to hasten the coming of a messiah who would bring down the democratic State of Israel forever and replace it with a king in a messianic kingdom.

These are sick lunatics who must be removed from our society. They should be branded with the mark of Cain on their foreheads so that wherever they may go they will be recognized as terrorists and murderers.

To our pride in our police and justice system, Ben-Uliel and a younger partner in crime have been indicted on charges of murder and race hatred. The evidence against them seems to be clear. Our Shin Bet Security Services deserve our praise and commendation for their diligence in bringing down this bad Jew and his gang of fellow terrorists.

Hopefully, those like-minded sick young criminals will learn something from this case and its trial and will cease to be destroyers . If not, they too should be rounded up like cattle and branded with the mark of Cain.

They and their false messianism have brought us shame and disgrace. We denounce them and declare them ex-cathedra from the normative Jewish community of decent, caring human beings and deviating from the principles of religious Zionism.

I hope that our police forces and Security agents will increase their presence and diligence permanently in the areas and caves where these maniacs hide. Search them out by any legal means. Arrest them and keep them forever in seclusion, far from the midst of innocent decent people, Arab or Jew.

If they are found guilty, demolish their homes or the homes of parents with whom they live. Do not treat Jewish terrorists differently from Arab terrorists. Terror is terror. Murder is murder. Bloodshed is bloodshed. There must be equal punishment for all those who seek to end the lives of others. As a nation of laws and justice, there must be equal punishment for all. That is what makes us a righteous country.
