Oh, she’s worn head wraps before, but now that she has been named as “the other woman” in court pleadings, absence of the full-throated cloth covering has special meaning.
Back in the old country (Somalia) and many Middle Eastern Countries, sworn allegations of a woman’s adultery wasn’t even necessary. It was enough that she had spoken to someone not her husband or family member on a cell phone. It was enough to be accused.
As the late comedian Joan Rivers might have said, “She should have covered the other end.”
Omar appeared on the national and international scene as a pious Moslem. House Leader Nancy Pelosi even changed a long standing Congressional rule barring headgear to accommodate her.
As weeks went by she made one hateful, aggressive and shallow comment after another accusing Jews of dual loyalty, of influencing government policy through their “benjamins” (hundred dollar bills). She advocated BDS, accused Israel of apartheid, compared it to Nazi Germany.
How particularly ironic was this particular turn of events.
She was allegedly not only having an affair, she was having it with a non-Moslem who worked for her Congressional office which him paid a poorly document $230,000
Omar is like the terrorist who dies as a result of testing their own bomb.
Omar has benefitted from a menu of “entitlements”. She fit three of the “oppressed” Western classes. She was black, a woman and a Muslim. She hit the trifecta.
1. Is Ilhan Omar her real birth name? There are reports that her Somalian family expropriated the name of another Somalian family to move up the refugee list.
2. Did she marry her brother?
3. Did she misuse campaign funds?
All the while she was giving press conferences blasting President Trump, the United States, Israel she was apparently in a relationship with her employee. Apparently, too, must have been her overwhelming belief in her invincibility.
Now, when questioned she refuses to discuss the allegations. She knows that without the sharia observant identity, she may well lose her congressional seat, income and public platform.
Leviticus 26:14-39 and Deuteronomy 28:15-69 describe the curses that will befall someone who breaks God’s laws.
Leviticus 26: 36 states:
“And those of you who survive I will bring fear in their hearts in the lands of their enemies, and the sound of a rustling leaf will pursue them; they will flee as one flees the sword, and they will fall, but there will be no pursuer.”
There must be something similar in the Koran.
