The Letter Bibi Won’t Send Obama

This is the letter Bibi won’t send to Obama. Obama will never see it, and that’s a shame. But at some point, you begin to realize that it doesn’t really matter because as big as Obama thinks he is…what happens now is so much greater. Still…if I had my way, this letter would be sailing across the Atlantic to crash down on Obama’s desk with the full wrath of the Israeli people…and, if only it could be…the Prime Minister of Israel.

Dear Barack,

There are times in the life of a leader of Israel that history weighs more heavily than others. This is one of them. I hear the voices of six million screaming out to me…this is what it was like in 1938; don’t let them do it again.

I hear the voices of past leaders who led Israel to victory by knowing that we stand alone, even when there are others beside us. This morning, you proved that. I won’t lecture you on Jewish history – of the Phillistines, the Ancient Romans, Greeks and Egyptians. I won’t write of the Canaanites, the Crusaders, the Babylonians, nor will I waste your time retelling the defeats of Haman, Amalek, and Hitler.

This is our history – not yours. Lessons we need to learn, not you. What you have done in this deal liberates Israel. You will allow Iran to go nuclear. Whether out of stupidity, naivete, or some hidden agenda, your actions no longer matter. What you have done is erase the United States from the equation.

For many months now, as you built the stage for your double-cross, we warned you that Iran was playing you for a fool. In the end, you went for the deal and completed your betrayal of Israel.

Once you suggested that America had Israel’s back. Today, Israelis woke to the news that you had stuck a knife in it. But here is where our history comes into play. You aren’t the first, and you won’t be the last.

So, allow me, as Prime Minister of the Jewish State of Israel, to offer you some facts:

1. We know what Iran is doing and we are not afraid to admit it. We do not believe denial changes reality.
2. We know that if Iran goes nuclear, one of their primary aims is to destroy the State of Israel. We know that in a matter of minutes, they believe, they can do more than what it took Hitler to do in 7 years of war and agony in Europe.
3. We know that if Iran were to succeed, the march of Islam would go on – what starts in Israel spreads to the world and soon enough Europe and the US would become targets.
4. We know, we have always known, that the defense of the Jewish people will come from our sons and daughters, not yours.

So here’s the game plan, Barack, plain and simple.

You’ve stated the US goals and intentions, here are mine. At a time and place that works for us, we will do, what is best for us. We are under no obligation to give you that phone call saying our jets are ready, loaded and about to leave.

If you want to know what Israel will do…we will defend ourselves, our lives, our people, our land.

If you want to know when – stay tuned to CNN. You’ll probably hear about it within an hour of the time that we are triumphant.

We will not allow Iran to go nuclear – whatever our means – by missile or by computer, by subterfuge, sabotage, or direct attack…we return to a fundamental premise – Masada shall not fall again…and we are Masada.

We have outlived them all because we remain true to what and who we are. It is a lesson, Barack, you should have learned. The knife you stuck in your friends this time has freed us from any obligations.
