The Racist Who Does Not Give Up

The ultra-Orthodox Bezalel Smotrich lost his bid fortunately for us, to get Bibi’s appointment for him as Minister of Justice. To have acceded to his sick demands would have ended justice for all in Israel.

He also demanded the post of Minister of Education, but thankfully lost that also. Had he won, our school children would be forced to study a Haredi racist curriculum.

Now he has made a third demand. He wants to be appointed Minister of Diaspora Affairs. It is not only a joke. It is a hilarious joke.

Smotrich is despised by modern liberal Jews in every country in the diaspora where Jews live freely . He must learn the American baseball rule. Three strikes and you’re out.

Smotrich has had his three strikes. He just forgot how to count in English.

Diaspora Jews detest his campaign promise to change the secular laws of Israel and replace them with halachic Torah laws from the days of Moses, religious non-democratic dictatorial laws which are not observed by more than 85 percent of world Jewry.

In short, Smotrich would not be welcome by Jews living outside of Israel. If he visited he could be heckled by hundreds of rotten tomatoes… not Israeli tomatoes but by juicy diaspora ones

Netanyahu may be considering appointing him as Minister of Transportation. Hopefully he can find a train which will transport him at high speed out of our country. Does the train stop in Mea Shearim, Antwerp or Brooklyn where he could live more comfortably?

Or as one of my colleagues suggested, appoint him as Minister to the Holy See in Vatican city. He and His Holiness Pope Francis can wear white matching kippot and over a game of shesh-besh each could attempt to convert the other to the “true” faith.

In no way can Smotrich represent a Jewish and democratic Israel when he supports elements in our laws and in our courts detrimental to the religions and culture of our non Jewish citizens which comprise 20 % of our population.

Any man who supports and encourages settler destruction of Arab homes and property and who rejoices at the burning of Arab lands, cultivated groves of destroyed olive trees, not neglecting the slaughter of hundreds of Arab-owned sheep, goats and cattle, staples of their diets, is not morally fit to serve in our Cabinet or Knesset.

Such an individual represents the worst of the former dictatorial regimes under fascist European savage nations. Filth must never ever be introduced into the basic laws of our Jewishly-founded nation established on the ideals of morality. Justice and equality for all.

There cannot be a calendar set of laws , one for Jews and another for our common Muslim and Christian faiths as well.

If we fail to unite under the banner of freedom and equality forever under the same blue ID card , the Teudat Zehut. we might as well pack our bags and follow the misguided Smotriches into the land which Moses never managed to enter. Too far from the desert.

It is well-known that Moses had a speech defect. He mumbled and stuttered. And it so happened when God wanted to reward Moses for his patient leadership, He asked Moses what should be given to him as a reward.

Moses replied “O Lord, for me, nothing. But for my people, give them the land of C –c –c-cain—-“ and God relied. “I understand your request Moses, You want to have the land of Canaan.

But as every good Jew, minus the Smotriches, know that Moses was really trying to ask for the land of Canada.

Send Smotrich there where he can establish his racist laws by the shores of the Niagara Falls.
