Thus, The Ruling of the Sanhedrin Stood

Talmud in Verse for Tractate Sanhedrin (in this Daf Yomi Cycle)

All government institutions related,
Within Torah Divine Authority,
Manifest legislation under G-d
Through bestowed separation of powers.

The Judicial Branch was entrusted to sages,
Seventy-one supervised lower courts,
In interpretation of eternal laws
For the requirements of each generation.

The Executive Branch under a King,
With a Ministers Appointed Council,
Set domestic and foreign policy.
The King declared war, if Sanhedrin approved.

In all matters, the Sanhedrin examined
The evidence in minutia.
If no unanswered question remained,
Thus, the ruling of the Sanhedrin stood.
