With financial constraints now impacting significantly upon military preparedness, emergency procedures and contingency measures, the time may have come to address the costs associated with a conflict most likely to still be with us well into a very indefinite future.

www.laxiankey.com – ‘ for those of us with better things to do.’

Here considerable scope and at virtually no cost whatsoever can be given to both offensive and defensive opportunities even though everything dealing with the normal usage of conflict is reversed and turned around. This would ensure a very rapid halting of all hostilities. It may then be reckoned that an end to exercises such as this one is not beyond question. Thus it is that ‘Turning Point 8’ and whatever other variations are envisaged may not be needed ever again and the savings in money and manpower might be then put to much better use.

Maybe one day this, too, could be just a simulation, only a virtual reality and not the very real thing that it is now.
