Tisha Ba’av 2020: Cry the beloved country America

The House Judiciary Committee session on Tuesday July 28, 2020 amounted to a contentious hearing for the US Attorney-General William Barr. Instead of a professional assembly, it manifested itself into a confrontation of a gentleman by an assembly of hyenas. It appeared as yet another “date which will live in infamy.”

In this year 2020, we have seen the Democrat party assume a major revision which would have been unimaginable in the days of Jean Kirkpatrick and Daniel Moynihan. A country that fought communism and socialism seriously in every way now has a sizeable body which embraces bankrupt philosophies. Who could have imagined that the subject party would empower anti-Semites and radical socialists.

Other than Barr’s introductory remarks, he was given little opportunity to respond to each questioning Democrat. It was as if each of the hate-filled angry Committee members had been schooled in interruption techniques. The rudeness and lack of civility was painful to observe.

In the matter of law and order, instead of adhering to facts, the Democrats engaged in absolute prejudice. They displayed little knowledge in recognizing that many of the states and cities have black police superintendants. They spoke as if 95% of the police were offenders, when in fact the opposite applies. Suggesting that a police force should be defunded and reduced in number is obviously ludicrous. They refused to acknowledge the difference between legitimate peaceful protestors and rioting masses.

They will never concede the encouragement given to the rioting maniacs as a result of their policies of “political correctness”, extreme liberalism and guilt ridden selves. No attempt was conducted to determine how many illegal immigrants participated in the savagery.

The points made by Bill Barr:

[a] “violent rioters and anarchists have hijacked legitimate protests”.
[b] “As elected officials of the federal government, every member of this committee ——–regardless of your political views or your feelings about the Trump administration—-should condemn violence against federal officers and destruction of federal property.”

As a Jew, I feel ashamed that a disproportional number of Jews are involved in the American Democrat governmental positions, contributing much to the present day charade. Albeit that they are so in names only and far from participating in the norms of Jewish behavior and life. Indeed, they essentially conform to the established definition of Jewish self-hatred.

In his opening remarks, the Attorney-General made clear his understanding of the intention of the Democrats to prove his purpose of serving the President rather than the State. In addition thereto, they were given to an obsession over the relationship between law enforcement and the African-American community. He pointed out. While recognizing that the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, at the hands of the police was “a shocking event”, the fact remained that such events are fortunately quite rare.

By way of an example, he referenced statistics from the Washington Post, a newspaper, not unlike the New York Times, overly prejudiced towards liberalism, which recognized that the number of unarmed black men killed by police so far this year was 8 whereas, for white men it was it was 11.

While admitting that every instance of excessive force is unacceptable and must be addressed, Barr perceived that questionable events are driven by the manifestation of the deeper, lingering concern that,in encounters with police, blacks will not be treated fairly. Regrettably, the response to Floyd’s death has not been what one would expect in a civilized society.

What followed was demonizing of the police, promotion of slogans like ACAB [All Cops are Bastards], and making grossly irresponsible proposals to defund the police. It is black lives which will suffer most from their absence. “There is no harder job today in America than being a police officer.” Barr cleverly selected 9/11 as a model of outstanding police conduct where during the emergency and catastrophe, police did not set out to protect white people or black people [but all], a risk which at times cost them their lives.

He followed on with what has been observed these past 2 months, witnessing a different breakdown in the rule of law. “Violent rioters and anarchists have high jacked legitimate protests to wreak senseless havoc and destruction on innocent victims.” They have “laid siege to the Federal courthouse [in Portland] and nearby Federal property—-arrive equipped for a fight, armed with powerful slingshots, tasers, sledgehammers, saws, knives, rifles and explosive devices.”

As one listened to Chairman Jerry Nadler’s opening statement, one had to wonder, despite his being a lawyer, whether he knew what the function of an Attorney-General entailed. Such was gleamed from his opening statement whereby he accused Bill Barr of undermining democratic norms. Apparently, he did not recall that the self-same Barr had been selected by both Republicans and Democrats for his appointment after his past records had been appraised.

Apparently, Nadler riddled with hatred, saw the hearing as an opportunity for a continuum of the failed Impeachment, where success would settle the score. Is it the role of a House Judiciary Chairman to be an accuser? Given his introductory assertion that the Justice Department was “—more at risk than at any time in modern history” without defining when modern history commenced or what, if any significant revisions Barr had made during the comparatively short period he has been in office, what did mean?

We learn in time that his real interest lay in a belief that Barr was motivated by a need to shield President Trump from responsibility and eroding democratic norms. Amongst his numerous allegations, Nadler spoke of police brutality and expressed open hostility to the Black Lives Matter movement. Now, one has to wonder how much Jerry Nadler knows about this questionable organization.

Ben Shapiro, editor in chief of Daily Wire.com and notable political commentator and host, in his extensive article on BLM asks the question “why does it matter?”. He asks, “Why, in fact do only some Black lives matter, rather than all?” [July 11, 2020]

Further, he questions, why, in fact, do only some Black Lives Matter, rather than all? Apparently, Black lives matter only when we’re talking about police brutality. Statically, the case is unassailable that the daily murder of minority youths in America’s major cities is hardly newsworthy.

Shapiro describes several cases and concludes ; “All that matters for too many in our elite institutions is the narrative that America’s systems are the greatest obstacle to Black Americans. And not all lives lost are equally valuable in promoting that perverse narrative.

In “The Silent American Jews” by Caroline B. Glick, which appeared in Israel Hayom on 06-26-2020, at the commencement notes that as its charter makes clear, Black Lives Matter itself is structurally anti-Semitic. “It accuses Israel of being an ‘apartheid state’ and believes US aid to Israel is the foundation of America’s problems.” Ms. Glick’s paper is vast and extremely in-depth, making it extremely difficult to condense.

It is as much a critique of radical Leftist Jewish behavior as a reckoning of BLM. According to the BLM charter, US military aid to Israel is the foundation of America’s problems. This not only diverts much needed funding from domestic education and social programs, but it makes US citizens complicit in the abuses committed by the Israeli government. In other words, Israel is the root of America’s troubles at home and abroad
.
Since Israel is regarded by MTM as an “apartheid state”, they react by supporting BDS and encourage sanctions and a divestment campaign against Israel by local, state and federal action. As regards militancy, it is not in short supply. By way of a single example, disciples of MTN vandalized 5 synagogues and 3 Jewish schools. Most of the Jewish businesses on Fairfax Avenue were looted. This over the Shavuot festival on May 30, a modern day pogrom.

Daniel Greenfield of FrontPage revealed that the Jews were not incidental victims in a larger night of “anti-racist” rioting by BLM, who in Los Angeles are led by outspoken anti-Semites with intimate ties to the virulently anti-Semitic Nation of Islam. With BLM, anti-Semitism isn’t a bug, it is a feature. Hatred of Israel and the Jews is part of its DNA.

For Caroline Glick, this brings us to the Jews that are part of the problem. Not so the Wall Street Journal who has called on members of the political left to wake up and oppose the thought policemen of identity politics. “Sadly, it appears that the Jewish victims of those policemen will be the last to hear or heed the call.”

Towards the end of Nadler’s diatribe, he states, “Jordan concluded his remarks by showing a montage of violence against law enforcement during protests and riots across over the last few months.” Pray, what is wrong with this? A living testimony of savage behavior of the worst kind, hardly becoming of a democracy. The very root of the current hearing.

What we were witnessing is the consequence of the Democrat’s concerted Deep State activities which commenced shortly prior to Trump’s election. The unprecedented hatred has no limits and clearly every form of “dirty tricks” will prevail up to the forthcoming elections.

Perhaps little known, lawyer Nadler is a product of a Yeshivah education in addition to western scholarship at leading schools and university. Now Judaism’s studies on justice are extensive and 2nd to none. It does seem strange that he would be allied to Marxist Bernie Sanders and George Soros of confused identity. All Democrats, a political party today unlike that of their grandparents.

When hatred is rational, based on some fear or disapproval that – justified or not – has some logic to it, then it can be reasoned with and brought to an end. But, unconditional, irrational hatred cannot be reasoned with. There is nothing one can do to address it and end it. It persists. Despite all, leftist Jews in America constitute by far a majority.

By allying with “The Squad” who have been raised in hatred of Jews” as elaborated on in Somalia author Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s highly acclaimed book, “Infidel”, raises a specific form of hatred, Jewish sef-hatred. Sadly, Representative Ilhan Omar has not followed Hirsi Ali, according to Andrea Levin, who informs us in her “Omar Vs Hirsi Ali: A Tale of Two Somalis”.

Levin’s husband, Dr. Kenneth Levin, a well known psychiatrist and historian, focuses on self-hatred in a paper entitled, “A Jewish plague.” He observes how individuals betray their own nations and communities for well-known reasons – material gain, ideology, retaliation for perceived grievances and blackmail. But, betrayal takes on special dimensions for those groups subject to chronic assault by the surrounding world. In establishing his thesis, he references the 13th century French convert Nicholas Donin, 16th century Nuremberg apostate Josef Pfefferkorn, Solomon Halevi, chief rabbi of Burgos, who became Paul of Burgos, Karl Marx, Heine, Lassalle, Disraeli and Mordechai Vanunu.

In cotemporary times, Bernie Sanders, recently, a presidential hopeful, has sacred extensive media coverage. Consider a few of them:
[a] Bernie Sanders is not a Jew.
[b] How Bernie became a favorite among Muslim Americans.
[c] Bernie Sanders radical past.
[d] The socialist evolution of Bernie Sanders.
[e] Bernie Sanders refused to condemn Farrakhan official’s anti-Semitic screed.
[f] BLM matters and self-hating Jews.
[g] Zionism and the “self-hating Jew.”
[h] Is Bernie Sanders anti-Semitic?
[i ] Concerning “self-hating Jews”.

A few quotes from the above:
“His conception of the Holocaust is detached from Jewish suffering. It is purely about his leftist politics. The Holocaust has no Jewish meaning for Bernie Sanders. It merely validates his self-importance. There is nothing Jewish about Bernie Sanders except his vestigial accent. He makes common cause with anti-Semites because Jews don’t matter to him, only the agenda of the left does.” “——his being outspoken on Palestinian rights.”——“Most disturbing. Sanders wants Government to seize and take over many private businesses similar to what happened in banana republic’s like South America and Cuba.”

The other “Jewish” dissident, George Soros is little different in his quest to change America, as can be verified by the media:

[a] On Rudy Giuliani being more Jewish than George Soros.
[b] Soros hacks reveal donations to Black Lives Matter.
[c] Bad Investments: How Soros-funded groups increase tensions in a troubled region.
[d] Connoisseur of chaos.

Here again, a few quotes:
“Soros and Sanders are both apostates, and despicable.—-Those on the Left aim to protect enemies of Israel like George Soros and Bernie Sanders by setting up a defensive wall for the evil they espouse, calling criticisms of them ‘ant-Semitic’.”
“—an internal memo from Soros Open Society Institute indicates he funded the radical BLM movement to the tune of $650,000.—–Leaders of BLM worked to influence candidate platforms during the 2016 primary season.” “The efforts to hide donations from the Soros family to J Street are far from consistent with the ideals of an “open society.” “—-often join in promoting the Durban Agenda and in some cases reject Israel’s existence as a Jewish state.” “I was only a spectator—-I had no role in taking away the property. So I had no sense of guilt.”You watched lots of people get shipped off to the death camps . A very personal experience of evil.——it created no – no problem at all.”

Self-hatred means being a traitor to your race, an Uncle Tom, siding with the enemy, willing the destruction of your own people. Churchill’s 1920 “Zionism verses Bolshevism – a struggle for the soul of the Jewish people” is a masterpiece, as valid as if it had been written today.

By way of closure, Israeli Zahava Englard Shapiro’s “Note to American Jewish leaders: The [Democratic] Party is over” says it all. They, the people, need to make a difference at the voting booth.
