Trump supporter to Warren supporter, it’s possible.

I know many of you think it’s crazy how a person can go from being a Trump supporter to a Warren supporter. It wasn’t money, it wasn’t fame, etc. I decided to be a Trump supporter because I believed in conservative values which at the time, didn’t realize it was propaganda. I foolishly accepted the false narrative of Democratic officials, I.E. President Obama and Hillary Clinton. I allowed my hatred towards Hillary Clinton and ignorance in real-life situations to decided that Trump was the person I thought was right to be President. Boy was I wrong.

We’ve been lied to by conservative pundits to what Democrats and liberals fight for, with real extreme ideals, which a lot of it wasn’t true. For example, liberals really do love the Military, made programs for Veterans and Democrats do not want gun confiscation. Muslims are not terrorists, and many are good people people who do share the same values of peace, love, and humanity.

After learning truths, I’ve learned there is not one American culture like I was led to believe by GOP and pundits, but there are many different walks of life, different points of view. People of different colored skin do not have the same life growing up and as adults. I’ve learned that I already have the rights I’ve been fighting for when I was a conservative. Being liberal is not taking away conservative rights, it’s fighting for rights that certain groups of people don’t have. There’s still bigotry towards POC, Muslims, LBGT and migrants. Liberals realize it’s not about you when they are out there marching in the streets. What helped me was learning to have empathy and knowing the difference between truth and propaganda.

It’s very possible for a person to change their values later in life. After understanding the truth about liberalism. I believe that Senator Warren is the perfect example of what it means to be a Democrat. She has compassion for those who don’t have a voice. She has experience of bipartisan work that this country truly needs to unite as one and to heal after the division the current President and administration has caused. The issues that she cares about are real issues like children locked in concentration camps with inhumane conditions, instead of getting upset at a person of color’s free speech. Our country needs to move forward, not backward and I believe Senator Elizabeth Warren has the plan for that.
