Truth isn’t phobia — it’s just inconvenient
Most of the world remains largely ignorant of the numerous conflicts in the Middle East, often directing blame toward the Jewish state. Many claim that had Israel not been re-established in 1948, there would be peace and prosperity, with everyone living in harmony. Is this true?
The answer is no. The wars in the Middle East are violent Arab Muslim conflicts, and at the core of these wars lies the intolerance of other religions and ethnicities, as dictated by the Quran.
Anyone who claims that Islam is the religion of peace or believes they can safely live under Islamic rule is gravely mistaken. Here are just a few verses from the Quran that expose the violent reality:
Qur’an 2:191: “Slay the unbelievers wherever you find them.”
Qur’an 3:28: “Muslims must not take the infidels as friends.”
Qur’an 3:85: “Any religion other than Islam is not acceptable.”
Qur’an 5:33: “Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticize Islam.”
Qur’an 8:12: “Terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur’an.”
Qur’an 9:5: “When opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you catch them
For anyone willing to look with an open mind, it becomes clear that Islam, as interpreted by extremists, is about violence, war, death, and destruction. Those in the Western world who believe they can befriend Muslim Arabs because they support them in the case of “Palestine” are either terribly misguided or delusional. How can a homosexual Christian woman, for example, support an ideology so far removed from her own values? Or are they simply brainwashed?
Israel The Light Unto The Nations:
The only nation in the Middle East that has been successful in defending itself from the continuous attempts to conquer land, slaughter Jews, and annihilate people of other religions, is Israel. The Palestinian identity, invented by Egyptian-born terrorist leader Yasser Arafat, has been used for decades as a pawn in the hands of terror groups. Hamas, Al-Qassam Brigades, PIJ, Al-Aqsa Martyr Brigade, and others in this small region care little for the lives of children, women, or men. The more deaths, the better. It’s harsh to acknowledge, but it’s the unfortunate truth.
This is not about land. In fact, many “Palestinians” in the early 20th century sold their land for significant profit to Jews who resettled there. It’s not about borders. The root of the conflict is one thing: Islam, and how its leaders interpret the Quran.
Make no mistake—if there were no Jews in the Middle East, if Israel were to be eradicated, the violence would not end. The real war would continue between Sunni and Shi’a Muslims. This deep division is rooted in their differing visions of religious authority and leadership since the death of the Prophet Muhammad.
Sunni and Shi Muslims
Those who followed the Prophet’s closest companion, Abu Bakr, became known as Sunni Muslims—followers of the Prophet’s example. Those who followed Muhammad’s cousin and son-in-law, Ali, became known as Shi’a Muslims—followers of the “Party of Ali.” Sunnis focus on following the Prophet’s example, while Shi’a emphasize the lineage of Muhammad’s family through a series of Imams.
Since the 1970s and particularly after the Iranian Revolution of 1979, tensions between Sunni and Shi’a communities have intensified in parts of the Middle East. The rise of a Shi’a theocracy in Iran has led to increased violence and support for Shi’a groups in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Lebanon, Gaza, and Syria. Shi’a-dominated governments in Iraq and Syria have committed violence against Sunni populations, while the alliance between Wahhabism and the Saudi monarchy has marginalized Shi’a communities there. In turn, Shi’a communities in Iraq have suffered extreme violence at the hands of Sunni extremist groups like ISIS.
Beyond the Middle East, tensions between Sunni and Shi’a communities are also rising in Western diasporic communities.
The world’s focus remains on Gaza, but the real danger lies beneath the surface. While all attention is directed toward Israel, the radical Islamic ideology creeps in through the backdoor, threatening the very fabric of Western societies.
