Two more clues

In these last days before the 2024 election, undecided pro-Israel Americans have been given two additional clues as to why it is dangerous to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris instead of former President Donald Trump.

First, somewhere in the American intelligence hierarchy, someone harmed Israel by releasing highly confidential documents about the pending retaliation against Iran. It is reported that the leaked documents, dated October 15 and 16, found their way online Friday on Telegram by a source called “Middle East Spectator.” Biden-Harris officials are scrambling to explain the leaked information and to minimize the damage to Israel’s counterstrike plans.

The blunder should be viewed as a combination of carelessness and treachery, and this insidious “buck” stops with unreliable allies Biden-Harris. The leak might reasonably be seen as a continuation of the Obama-Biden-Harris obsession to appease and placate Iran.

Weeks before, as part of the seven front hot war waged against Israel, Iran attacked Israel with almost two hundred ballistic missiles. Thanks to Israel’s air defense assets, and some support from American forces, minimal damage was done to Israel. However, the provocation from a near-nuclear Iran that threatens to destroy Israel warrants a severe response.

During the Biden-Harris team’s watch, this release of sensitive information jeopardizes our closest ally. The leak is suspicious because it followed persistent meddling by Biden and Harris to constrain how Israel responds to Iran. The Biden-Harris Administration, like nagging parents, openly opined as to what targets were and were not off limits for the Israeli Air Force. They wanted to prohibit Israel from attacking the Iranian petroleum production infrastructure despite the obvious financial chokehold benefit. They wanted to prohibit Israel from going after the nuclear facilities despite the obvious benefit of eliminating the existential menace.

Since October 7, Biden-Harris have dispatched surrogates Tony Blinken and Amos Hochstein to pressure Israel for a diplomatic capitulation that would offer a mix of combat pauses, ceasefires, and proportionate responses. This is not how Israel will impress on Iran that they mean business and that they will, at a time and a method of their choosing, rain down hell.

Voters also need to recall how Biden-Harris aggressively warned Israel’s IDF not to go into Rafah in Gaza and threatened to withhold military material if they did so.  In the past week, the Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed by the IDF in Rafah and once again demonstrated the foolishness of the Biden-Harris interference.

CLUE: With Vice President Harris in office, Israel will not be safe.

Second, campaigning Kamala Harris was heckled by a keffiyeh-draped pro-Hamas protester at a stop at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The protester interrupted her, ranting about the false narrative about Israel’s “genocide” and killing “19,000 children.”

As the man was being led out by security, Harris was recorded saying, “Listen, what he’s talking about, it’s real. That’s not the subject that I came to discuss today, but it’s real, and I respect his voice.”

It conforms with similar ambiguities she has articulated over past years about the Gaza conflict and the demonstrations on American streets. It is part of the morally compromised tight wire act she conducts trying to satisfy the Muslim and Jewish constituencies. It also dovetails with her not attending Prime Minister Netanyahu’s recent speech before a joint session of Congress. Her wishy-washy stance compares unfavorably with Trump’s prescient Executive Order in December 2019 that made Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act apply to anti-Semitic acts.

CLUE: With Vice President Harris in office, American Jews will not be adequately defended against antisemitism.

These two new clues are part of mounting evidence that Democrat nominee VP Kamala Harris’s support for Israel and American Jews is problematic. Harris’s words and deeds compare very unfavorably to the unwavering support Israel received while President Trump was in office.

Kamala Harris is a danger to Israel and to American Jews. Let’s pray that these two recent events have become the deciding factors needed to sway any undecided pro-Israel voters to vote against Harris and for Trump.
