Unforgivable Stupidity of Promoting Hamas’ Agenda
Let’s be absolutely clear: Hamas is not a resistance group. Hamas is a terrorist organization. It’s not just an organization with a few misguided individuals; it’s a genocidal entity hell-bent on the destruction of Israel and the Jewish people. They have no interest in peace. None. They have no interest in a ceasefire unless it buys them time to regroup, rearm, and kill more innocent people.
Recently, six Israeli and American hostages were brutally executed by Hamas in one of their many terror tunnels under Rafah. Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Carmel Gat, Almog Sarusi, Alex Lobanov, and Ori Danino are just a few names in the long list of victims of this barbaric organization. Their crime? Simply existing as Jews or as supporters of Israel. This is not a clash of civilizations. It’s not a war between two states with conflicting interests. This is a fight between good and evil, civilization and barbarism.
Yet, astonishingly, some Americans are promoting Hamas’ agenda. They call for a ceasefire as though Hamas has any intention of laying down its weapons. As though Hamas will suddenly start respecting human life if we just give them another chance. This is the same Hamas that kidnaps children from their beds, that fires rockets indiscriminately at civilians, and that buries hostages alive in their terror tunnels. The same Hamas that has tortured and executed countless innocents while rejecting every proposal for peace. They do not want peace; they want victory at any cost.
What we’re seeing isn’t just misguided; it’s dangerous. Promoting a ceasefire under these circumstances is not a call for peace. It’s a call for Israel to unilaterally disarm in the face of an enemy that seeks nothing less than its total annihilation. This isn’t about human rights; it’s about survival. It’s about ensuring that Hamas doesn’t get another chance to murder more innocent people.
So, here’s the truth: Anyone who promotes Hamas’ agenda, anyone who calls for a ceasefire without demanding the unconditional surrender of Hamas, is complicit in the deaths of innocent people. The pressure must be on Hamas to end their reign of terror, to release all the hostages, and to disband. Anything less is a betrayal of the values of freedom, democracy, and basic human decency.
Israel must do what any other nation would do if faced with an existential threat: defend itself, and do so with the full force of its military might. And we, as Americans, must stand with Israel. Not just in words, but in actions. The lives of innocent people are at stake. The time for half-measures and appeasement is over.
