Logic and making a difference

Ultimately, there comes a moment when words, slogans and all the wishful thinking in the world are revealed as far too weak, almost totally unproductive in a conflict as complex and long established as that of the Israeli-Palestinian one.

Unless some serious leverage can be applied that carries with it sufficient strength and motivation to make a real difference, no radical change can reasonably be expected in a climate so rigidly controlled by decades of dogma, suspicion and intolerance. This constant failure to prevail in such a matter must remain the stumbling block upon which all attempts at peaceful resolution have and will always come to grief.

Time then to detour from a path so deficient in possibilities and progress.
