I was in Jerusalem working as normal on that day, when suddenly reports came in of a terrible explosion on Jaffa St. So I finished my work to see what had taken place and could not believe my eyes. A whole restaurant blown apart by terrorists who felt it was more important to kill Israelis than try to sit down and negotiate peace with Israel.
The broken glass, tables overturned, wires hanging from everywhere. But most importantly, the shattered lives of the families that lost loved ones and had to treat the injured was a thought that stayed with me long after my eye witness account of what had taken place.
It was my 52nd English birthday, my family had planned a small party when I returned home, but none of that could take away the hurt that I felt for all those families.
I saw for myself the small marks in the walls which were most probably from the nails, bolts, and all kinds of sharp objects that the bomber had packed in that explosive before he set out on his evil mission.
What human being would think of attacking another human being sitting eating their meals peacefully with such disgusting objects of hate. It is beyond all of us to know what goes on in a terrorists mind because no one who respects the life of another human being can even think to do something like that to another person. But on that day, Israel was again thrown into mourning. That being after so many other terrorist attacks had taken place.
And it would be just 33 days before America and all those who love America would be thrown into mourning again by the 9/11 attacks.
The two videos you are about to see at the bottom of this Blog are of Omar and Ahlam Tamimi who claims she was the person responsible for the Sbarro attack that left 15 dead and about 130 injured.
She sits in Jordan and the Jordanian authorities refuse to allow her out of the country to stand trial for the crime she admitted to.
Omar sits in Congress and wanted to take a trip to Israel sponsored by “Miftah”, an organisation tied heavily terrorism.
In the first video Omar comments on the terrorism classes she took in University and gives a large smile when the words “Al Qaeda” are mentioned. As if to give approval for the 9/11 attacks carried out by that terrorist group. And her comment that “some people did something” did not help her argument either that she is as American as any other American.
Tamimi has a history of being a proud Palestinian who wants to kill as many Israelis as possible, here are some of her comments after the terrorist attack-
Public and personal reaction
In an interview which aired on Al-Aqsa TV on 12 July 2012 (as translated by MEMRI), Tamimi described the reaction of other Palestinians immediately after the bombing:
Afterwards, when I took the bus, the Palestinians around Damascus Gate [in Jerusalem] were all smiling. You could sense that everybody was happy. When I got on the bus, nobody knew that it was me who had led [the suicide bomber to the target]… I was feeling quite strange, because I had left [the bomber] ‘Izz Al-Din behind, but inside the bus, they were all congratulating one another. They didn’t even know one another, yet they were exchanging greetings…While I was sitting on the bus, the driver turned on the radio. But first, let me tell you about the gradual rise in the number of casualties. While I was on the bus and everybody was congratulating one another…
After hearing an initial report that “three people were killed” in the bombing, Tamimi stated: I admit that I was a bit disappointed, because I had hoped for a larger toll. Yet when they said “three dead,” I said: ‘Allah be praised’…Two minutes later, they said on the radio that the number had increased to five. I wanted to hide my smile, but I just couldn’t. Allah be praised, it was great. As the number of dead kept increasing, the passengers were applauding.
I do not regret what happened. Absolutely not. This is the path. I dedicated myself to Jihad for the sake of Allah, and Allah granted me success. You know how many casualties there were [in the 2001 attack on the Sbarro pizzeria]. This was made possible by Allah. Do you want me to denounce what I did? That’s out of the question. I would do it again today, and in the same manner.
She was imprisoned for her role in the events, but was released in an October 2011 prisoner swap for captive Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. At a military tribunal sitting at the Ofer military camp, Tamimi had received 16 consecutive life sentences and an additional 15 years in prison.
During her time in the prison, she married her cousin Nizar, who was being held in a separate prison. She moved to Jordan immediately after her release. Her arrival there was attended by hundreds of people, including relatives, many Muslim Brotherhood supporters, and trade unionists and citizens. She later met with Hamas leader Khaled Mashal in Cairo, Egypt.
American Legal Proceedings
On July 15, 2013, the U.S. Justice Department filed criminal charges in the District of Columbia against Tamimi for conspiring to use a weapon of mass destructionagainst U.S. nationals outside the U.S., resulting in death. The criminal complaint was unsealed on March 14, 2017. Jordanian courts ruled that Tamimi could not be extradited, as the Jordanian parliament has not ratified the extradition treaty with the United States yet.
There is a $5 Million reward for her capture.
Tamimi is the first Islamic terrorist from the Arab League to face criminal prosecution in the United States and marks a stark about-face from American foreign policy under previous administrations.
Malki Roth and Family
Frimet Roth, the mother of one of Tamimi’s murder victims, has criticized her release. She said when Tamimi was released along with hundreds of other convicted murderers in exchange for a single Israeli soldier, it felt as if her daughter was murdered all over again.
Arnold Roth has been trying to bring Tamimi back to stand trial for her crimes, but as I understand it, she still remains in Jordan. To understand how cruel and animal like some human beings can become, you must watch the video below showing Tamimi being interviewed, it is quite shocking to watch.
In this video below, Tamimi is asked if she thought about the human beings in the restaurant that would be killed when the bomb went off, and she said NO, after thinking about it for a few seconds. And with a smile on her face.
Then she was asked how many children she thought were killed in the blast, and she said three. Then the interviewer corrected her and said eight. She repeated the number 8 and her smile became even larger.
Before finishing this Blog I must make a few more points. The following quotes came out following the attack-
Hamas, the hard-line Palestinian militant group, said one of its members had been the bomber.
Islamic Jihad, which had also claimed responsibility, later said it had mistakenly thought that one of its activists was behind the blast.
“Our fighter Hussein Abu Amsha was en route to carry out a martyrdom operation and when the explosion happened, our brothers thought it was him,” Islamic Jihad General Secretary Ramadan Shallah said in Damascus.
Palestinian legislative council member Hanan Ashrawi said the pizza parlour attack was part of a “cycle of violence”. Ashrawi is listed as a member of the Third Way party. And she sits alongside members of Hamas and Fatah.
The Palestinian Authority Martyrs Fund
The Palestinian Authority Martyrs Fund is a fund operated by the Palestinian Authority (PA) for the purpose of paying a monthly cash stipend to the families of Palestinians killed, injured or imprisoned for involvement in attacking, assisting in attacking, or planning to attack Israelis, or for other types of politically-inspired violence, including riots, violent demonstrations, and throwing rocks, and also for paying cash stipends to the families of innocent bystanders killed during violent events. In addition, it provides pocket money to all Palestinians imprisoned in Israeli jails for ordinary crimes. The Fund traces its origins to a fund created by Fatah in 1964 to support the widows and orphans of Palestinian fedayeen. The scheme has been described as “pay for slay”, and has been criticised as encouraging terrorism.
Speaking before the United Nations Security Council on 24 June 2017, Israeli ambassador Danny Danon, together with Oran Almog, one of the victims of the Maxim restaurant suicide bombing, demanded that the PA cease incentivizing terrorism by paying stipends to terrorists.
In July 2018, the Knesset passed a law for Israel to deduct the amount of money that the PA gives to terrorists and their families from the taxes and tariffs Israel collects for the PA.
So another reason Tamimi is smiling is the additional money she and her family has collected from this fund. I have heard nothing about this fund being suspended.
Could it be then that Omar and Tlaib were planning on meeting Tamimi secretly in Jordan or having a conference call with her, which of course they would not tell us about.
And we must not forget that since Ashwari was so close to Arafat, she most likely knew about the terrorist raid on Entebbe before it took place, making her a party to the crime that killed Prime Minister Netanyahu’s brother Yoni. If you were Bibi, would you allow Omar and Tlaib in based on what you know about Miftah?
In those two video clips below, we have two very different women.
Do you notice anything similar about them?
Please watch and listen and maybe other similarities will become evident as well.
But after reading and listening to these two women speak, I want to stress that Tamimi is “sitting” in Jordan and being treated as a hero.
Omar is “sitting” in Congress in “Occupied Territory”
My family and I and all Israelis are “Sitting Ducks” as long as Congress doesn’t take action to rid itself of those members who are speaking against my people, my country and everyone else who those squad members hate.
My heart goes out to all of you who have lost family members or been affected in some way by the terrorist attacks here in Israel and all over the world. May we all pray together that peace and happiness will return to the world in the not too distant future.
