What I want

At this moment in time, I could care less about settlements, land divisions etc. I don’t want to hear about how Israel brought the kidnappings on themselves. I don’t want to hear about how the boys should have NOT been there in the first place.

I want to hear that they are home safe with their families. That they are sleeping tonight in their own beds with their mothers and fathers and siblings rejoicing in their return.

I want to hear that the IDF is not going door to door looking for them kids. I want to hear they are celebrating finding the boys.

I want to hear that Israel is rejoicing. That people at the Kotel are singing “Hatikvah” with joy at the return of the boys. That people are  cheering their return.

I want to hear Jews all over the world are rejoicing their return.

I want this news. I check the news hourly. and pray.. and weep. and hope this is the hour they are found.
I am American. just like one of the boys. I hope one day to travel to Israel when I am well enough.

To the families: People are praying. People care. People feel your pain. Jews are more than a nation. They are a family. That has never been more evident to me. Three members of our family were kidnapped. We want them back. NOW. Until they are returned, prayers will continue. We are one with you, those in Israel and around the world.
