What is the State of the Zionist Ideas?

With Israel turning 70 years old and the Middle East as unstable as ever more and more discussion is happening around the topic of Zionism, both in Israel and in the diaspora.

To get right into the centre of the debate the New Blue Review was in studio with academic and writer Gil Troy. The interview addressed a number of the bigger issues swirling around the Zionist conversation including the idea of Jewish and Democratic state, the problem of anti-Zionism on campus, the left/right divide in America, some of the origins Zionism and the effect of initiatives such as the nation state law.  Also discussed are Gil’s numerous books including on the Clinton’s, the United Nations and his new work that addresses the concept of the “Zionist Ideas” and who we can all contribute to more healthy conversation.
