The price for letting Putin win is to get another four years of Trump
Anyone who followed his appetite for Ukraine and studied domestic abuse knew. How so? Never confront abusers unless you have every route of escape closed off. If you haven’t, they can become deadly dangerous.
Russia’s escape is China. China will bail it out of all trouble. That means that sanctions should have included any state that would relieve the sanctions. No such thing. Putin got a free get out of jail card from China.
But why did Putin do this now? Why not a year ago? Why not next year? What was the urgency? That’s easy to answer if you look at the facts.
His US counterpart Biden, politically driven slander aside, as former VP, sharply understands US foreign politics, and particularly foreign despots.
For dictatorships like Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, and the like, having a Biden around is no fun. You know what was fun? Trump. He literally loved them and was the greatest foreign-policy dummy they had ever seen. They want him back. And the feeling is mutual (see the above clip).
As president, he worked so seamlessly with Putin. So, some have seriously suggested he’s a Russian spy. That’s impossible. They would never recruit him because he can’t keep his mouth shut. Rather, he’s their useful idiot.
The justice department is working overtime to have Trump pay his debts until he has no cent left. That’s not enough. China and everyone else abetting Russia must be included in the Allied boycott to thwart that plot.
There is always hope that enough people will do enough of the right thing.
