Why Every Jew Must Vote in the World Zionist Congress Elections
The Jewish people will not be intimidated. We have survived millennia of hatred, and we will not allow history to repeat itself. But we cannot fight this alone. Regardless of faith, background, or politics, people must speak out. Silence is not an option.
The threats facing the Jewish people today are escalating at an alarming rate. From violent attacks on Jewish communities to institutionalized antisemitism disguised as political discourse, we are witnessing an all-out assault on our people, our history, and our future. The war in Israel is just one front in this battle—we are also fighting to ensure that our children, our schools, and our Jewish identity remain strong and unshaken.
What is the World Zionist Congress and Why Does It Matter?
The World Zionist Congress (WZO) is one of the most powerful bodies shaping the future of the Jewish people. It decides how to allocate approximately $1.2 billion every year toward Jewish education, combating antisemitism, strengthening Jewish identity, and supporting Israel. Yet, in the last WZO election, only 125,000 out of 6 million American Jews voted. That is unacceptable.
Our biggest challenge isn’t competition from other groups—it’s apathy. The decisions made by the WZO impact every Jewish community in the world. They determine the funding for Jewish schools, synagogues, security, and the fight against antisemitism. The Jewish people have always faced adversity, but the difference between survival and flourishing has always been our willingness to stand together and take action.
Aish Ha’am: Fighting for the Future of the Jewish People
This is why I am honored to run as a candidate in the Aish Ha’am Slate for the upcoming World Zionist Congress Elections in March. Aish Ha’am is fighting to ensure that every dollar of the $1.2 billion is used to:
- Fight Antisemitism – We must aggressively combat antisemitism in all its forms—on the streets, in schools, in government, and online. This means securing funding for comprehensive education programs, legal protections, and community security initiatives to ensure that Jewish people everywhere can live without fear. Our voices will not be silenced, and our history will not be erased.
- Unite the Jewish People – For too long, internal divisions have weakened us. Aish Ha’am is committed to fostering an inclusive, united Jewish world where Ashkenazi, Sephardi, Mizrahi, and Jews of all backgrounds stand together. We must break down the barriers of denomination and geography to create a thriving, interconnected global Jewish community.
- Ensure Access to Jewish Education – A strong Jewish identity begins with knowledge. We must make Jewish education affordable and accessible for every Jewish child, regardless of socioeconomic background. By investing in scholarships, expanding Jewish day schools, and enhancing online and in-person educational resources, we can ensure that every Jewish child is empowered to connect with their heritage, traditions, and faith.
- Support Israel’s Right to Defend Itself – A strong and secure Israel is essential for the safety of Jewish people worldwide. We will advocate for policies and funding that reinforce Israel’s military capabilities, protect its borders, and ensure that it has the resources necessary to combat threats. We refuse to let Israel stand alone in the face of those who seek to destroy it.
Aish Ha’am is the most diverse slate in this election, bringing together Jews from every background and denomination. We believe in Jewish unity—not just in words, but in action. This election is not about politics; it’s about ensuring that every Jew has a voice in shaping our collective future.
The Call to Action: Make Your Voice Heard
Voting in the WZO election is one of the most impactful things you can do for the future of the Jewish people. It takes just five minutes but will shape the direction of Jewish funding and advocacy for years. If you care about the Jewish future, if you believe in standing up for Israel, if you refuse to let antisemitism go unchallenged, then you must vote.
This is not someone else’s fight. It is our fight. It is our responsibility to ensure that Jewish history is not erased, and that Jewish identity remains strong for generations to come.
