Why Now

A close relative  recently said to me that the current climate of anti semitism  resembled Germany in 1933 .

I replied ; yes it does, however it is rampant across the entire world.

She said it was across the world then as well.

She said: Why now, Why us , what did we do?

I know we are all asking the question  Why now ?

Actually none of this just happened now. Did this ever really go away ?

But why now?

There can be many ideas as to why now.

There seems to be a lot of discontent in society today.

A lot of Chaos, a lack of simplicity.  So much anger. This volcano began to bubble during the Pandemic.

It was probably coming for a long time.

And a question to ask is why did America not fully address issues that caused the terrible and tragic 9/11. Where is that truth.

There is also Geo politics at play .. Israel is in the way of a desire for Iran to spread its shariah laws all the way across the Middle East and beyond.

So a narrative of blame was created to get their followers to promote hate , to promote pure antisemitism , to promote a mentality of refugee and victim.

And Israel, all Jews are a good scapegoat for those who are foggy in their thinking and need someone to blame.

The angst and anger seems misplaced as it is misguided and very much misled.

Amazing what kool-aid  people will drink. Reminds me of the controversial film That we often showed our leadership students years back : The Wave.

It shows just how easy it is to twist, manipulate , and gaslight people. It is really sad.

The fact that we ask why us, what did we do,  shows a desire to introspect,  a willingness to acknowledge that we all have responsibility.

If only the world would introspect and seek a higher calling; one that follows    promoting values  and respect for humanity, one that values compassion and protecting the future of mankind.

Where does blame take you ?

Where has the desire for the truth gone?

Why are so many ok with following leaders who perpetuate the blame game?

So what did we do?

That’s a tough one.

We all have our fallibility’s, that is what makes us human and open to growth.

We had our own  very serious unity challenges, but at the end of the day

We would prefer that the world would open itself up to bigger things.

So what can we do. In this darkness, bring the light, Speak up for the truth even when all are against us. Open up our arms to embrace positive change.

Affect change, because the world really needs it. Badly.
