It’s not easy being Ehud Olmert.
Now that he’s been sentenced to 6 years in prison for bribery involving various illegal activities during his time serving in Israel’s government, he has to suffer the inevitable phone calls from his old pal, Italy’s former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who will no doubt deride and chide him for not knowing how to push too far, only to get away with a slap on the wrist, cushioned by the great PR value of doing community service for retirees.

So much for spending his golden years well-ensconced in his luxury homes, swimming in the pools of money he made on Wall Street.
Aaahh … if only Olmert had been uncouthed enough to demand his government pension. Maybe then he would have had something to bargain with … or something to bribe the judge with.
